lack of bastards?

Since 1.08, I haven't given any maids a good tumble or sired any bastards. Did something change here, or did I just lost my mojo?

In my current game, my first ruler (who wasn't lustful to begin with), went on to sire 3 bastards.

His third son eventually came to inherit (long story, 2 oldest died rather quickly after having only girls), and sired 3 bastards as well.

This is a thing now, isn't it? Two games in a row I had half a dozen girls in a row for two generations, and just barely managed to get a male heir. Bad luck, or is there something slightly off?

Bad luck, once I had a friend who had 8 daughters, only the ninth was male.
