La Resistance 33% off. Is it worth it?

Hi guys,

La Resistance is now 33% off and costs 13.39€.
I waited on release for them to fix all the bugs, but than waited even further because my impression of the feedback was, that it is not a well regarded expansion.
How are things now, would you say that its worth a buy for that price? Do you use the features that are exclusive to the DLC?

I'd get it. I use Spy Agency roughly half the time, and the new trees are pretty great. That was worth the USD20 that I paid.

If you lived in venezuela, no, that's two weeks wages. But as you live in Germany, yes, it's definitely good value at that price. It's flawed in a number of ways, but I couldn't go back to playing without it.

They patched out IC and put more IC in the DLC (collaboration governments). Some of the focus trees are interesting. YMMV if that's worth.

It doesn't live up to the marketing hype, but it is worth the price (especially at -33%) and I enjoy the tech stealing.

It depends on how many hours you plan to spend on this game. If you are a regular HOI player like me it is a must buy, but if you are only a casual player unless you really fancy the new resistance and compliance mechanic and new focus tree then probably not.

It depends what you are into really. I have all the expansions but am really more of a casual HOI4 player and I prefer content packs, and alternative history more than a hardcore ultrarealistic WW2 experience. If you are like me then you will probably enjoy it because I think the Spanish focus tree is worth it alone. The Portuguese imperial path is fun and can take you to South America (via Brazil) which is different to any other focus trees. The French tree I don't play that often but has a lot of alternative contents but really only seems fun if you are into bringing back Napoleon.

As for the mechanics changes; I use the spy system a lot more than the navy updates in Man the Guns so I definitely think is a better expansion from that perspective. That being said unless you are a major you are probably only going to put a token amount into that as it takes a fair bit of your industrial capacity from you and missions can often take a lot more time and resources than they are worth.
