RE: La Resistance’
Can’t find any info on :
If I actually need to build the divisions that I need to occupy the zones with high resistance?

if I don’t need to to build off of that garrison template do support company help? Like Logistics, Etc?

Do you add light tanks to the divisions to increase hardness or is that overkill and just use armored cars?

thanks!

You don't need to build them, just select the design on the occupation screen and the system takes care of everything.

It also deals in partial - so if an area only needs 0.76 of a garrison then that is all it will use. It doesn't round it up to 1.

Support companies (other than MP) do NOT help. The only stats considered are suppression, hardness, manpower & cost.

Light tanks can be a good add if you have a lot spare from your main forces. Armoured cars are cheaper but you're less likely to have some spare.

The cheapest early garrison is just a single horse battalion. Only 5xp to create as a new division, cheaper than removing support units from any starting cavalry unit you have. Most effective is 25 cavalry + MP. Lowest manpower loss is 25 Arm. Cars + MP

In general compliance is best. So keep the harshness level as low as possible and, if you have LaRes, use spied to help supress partisans. It takes a long time to build up but pays for itself over time (especially if you use the democratic only setting - local authorities or similar. It gives a compliance boost)
