In February, the world's greatest museum of Europe has opened in Lille, the Palais des Beaux-Arts. Napoléon pitied the lesser cultures of Europe and feared that great works of Europe would be lost. Napoléon sent runners across the French Empire, seizing works from churches and castles throughout France, Central and East Europe, Aragon, and the Isles. The museum was the creation of Jean-Antione Chaptal in 1801, and was created with approval from Napoléon.

The French continued to stomp the Prussian worms into the dirt all the way to Russia, and once again at Polotsk, and the mighty French army massacred the last vestiges of Prussian resistance.

Napoléon achieved the zenith of his ideological crusade against the Ancien Régime. The Code Civil was enacted on the 19th of September, signed into law by Napoléon in Paris. It decreed that no man shall be born into greatness; every child would be born of equal rights, and all men would stand together, placed based on hard work and skill. The strict religious laws were repealed, and a man could practice any brand of Christianity he saw fit. Government positions would no longer be given based on one's last name. Napoléon believed in the reality of a true meritocracy of France, and the Code Civil would be that which France would live by thereafter.

In October, Prussia surrended, and seized large sections of Poland, holding Warsaw to be with his lover, and stabbing into the soft underbelly of Prussia.

In late 1817, France declared war again on the British.

Poor little Marie, throws herself at Napoleon to encourage him to look favourably on a Polish kingdom and then you go and take it all for yourself. You sir are heartless :)

In fairness, he does seem to be looking at a Polish monarchy in a better light now. It's just that he imagines a Bonaparte sitting on the throne instead.

Seeing the French agression towards the British, the Spanish signed a peace treaty with Britain through France, who did not consult Britain on the matter.

In February, the Captain of the French Navy, René Lavassor de Louis, became overconfident. The mighty French navy clustered at the Thames Estuary to blockade London's route of supply. The devious Lord Horatio Nelson assaulted the navy from behind. The French, crowded and disorganized, were defeated by the small guerrilla force, and retreated to Dunquerque. The defeat was so incredibly shocking to the British and the French that the French Royal Navy was docked in Dunquerque permanently, and de Louis was dishonourably discharged as a traitor, accused of sabotaging the French Fleet.

With the entirety of the Isles occupied, Napoléon searched for King George to make a peace, but alas, he was nowhere to be found. It was then realized that Malta had been ignored, and the French launched an assualt at Valetta. The British Navy under Nelson was guarding the island, but were lured by splitting the transports off, and sending the large ships off to distract the British. The French caputured Valetta, and Britain ceded all its territories excepting the area surrounding London.

France declared a war against Spain, to seize more parts of north Spain. The war was won in less than a month, with minimal transfers for either side.

Sweden delivered a peace to Denmark, seizing the cold wastes of northern Norway. They said the King of Denmark went mad, perhaps it was a Scandanavian affair.

Sweden declared war on Russia, for reasons unknown.

Napoléon wanted to mend relations with Austria, and married the Habsburg Maria Luisa of Austria, bringing peace between the two nations. Napoléons mistress was forgotten by all, and the promise of a free Poland with her.

In June, the French army sieged London to end the last of Britain once and for all.

The battle was less than successful. The garrison was determined to get revenge for the previous massacres, and while they came short, they came close.

The French retreated and regrouped, and took London once more. Britain signed the final treaty of subordinance to France, and the Kingdom of Great Britain was dissolved, and split into Principalities of the French Empire: Ireland, Scotland, Wales, North England, and South England..

With the final victory of France, the son of Marie Louise and Napoléon was born, styled Napoléon II, King of Rome. The people of France and Europe rejoiced, for the Bonaparte bloodline would live for another 100 years.

The Ottormans paid for aggressions against Russia, and lost part of Anatolia and Bulgaria.

The final victory against Britain had awakened something within the French. The men burned British flags and sang songs of Napoléon's greatness. The 25th of July became known across Europe as Napoléon's day, the day the George stood down and Napoléon cut down his sons and daughters, ending the British bloodline.

France seized Britain's colonies in India and the Pacific, and seized the colonies of Australie, nouvelle-Zélande, and Canada. Hong Kong and British traders were replace with French merchants.

The sun had set on the British Empire.

On the 15th of December, in Paris, France, Napoléon breathed his terminal breath, and the Napoleonic Era had come to an end.

Long Live France, and may the Républic blossom.

Congratulations on finishing this, some very impressive conquests not least the annexation of Great Britain. Would be interesting to see a comparison of French and Russian strength at the end of the game if you still have the save?

Thanks! From the ledger...

I have almost double the manpower, army, navy, and prestige. Military/navy quality is higher, and income is higher, though the ledger subtracts my army construction, making it seem lower. I probably could have taken them, but they took General Winter, and I was afraid of the snow.
