Rationalist League of France

Draft Macroeconomic Plan:

Government backed investigation into nuclear physics and potential applied uses.

Hydroelectric power stations to provide for further industrialisation and intensive farming irrigation.

Further canal construction and dredging of harbours and commercially important rivers.

Land reform including voluntary collectivation as well as easier and government backed access to credit.

Large expansion of industry confined to existing industrial areas.

Improved infrastructure including a freeway system and improved railway connections.

Duplication of some central administrative functions and facilities to Toulouse.

Nationalisation of state infrastructure and strategic industries including the arms industry.

Greatly increased spending on health and education.

Appropriation of church property and property of those who betrayed us in the Great War. Most of the land gained will be used for land reform while some will be offered as motivation to foreign academics and scientists wishing to settle in France.

Formation of labour auxillaries to partake in civil works projects and who are be drilled with spades to instill discipline. ;)

Cititzens of France!

Don't give in to Communism and Syndicalism, don't give into the vandalism of the barbarians in London and Moscow! Vote for a France that can defend herself from the Red Menace! Vote for a free and strong France that won't stand back for anyone. Vote for the French Imperial Napoleonic Party!

This game is going to end in civil war. I just know it :D

- Laurence

I know it. At the exact moment we, commies, fascists or anyone radical wins the elections, the losing parties will start to post huge anti-*party name here* campaigns.

Exactly, and hoping something like that will eventually happen. ;)

aaah well, elections are always some kind of civil war  just look at belgium, a few more years and there won't be belgium anymore :D

Tim

Exactly. In a few years there will only be... the GREAT BELGIAN IMPERIAL FEDERATION, consisting of Belgium and 'Non-Belgium', vast deserted colonies stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from Norway to Cape Good Hope :D

Back to the AAR: Two days left till election!

It appears the left is growing stronger, now second only to the FINP by 1 member. These are going to be very interesting elections methinks :D

I'd be more interested in what happens after the Elections. Does anyone wish to bet about how long it takes for France to split in (socialist) Commune and (rightist) Republic?

I say no more than thee in-game months.

Two members from us. Progress party has 9, we have 11.
But we will launch a serious ad campaign during the next 7 days. TRP, the lurker, already knows what I mean.

Note that we will veto any early-game government destabilizing. Zerg rush is lame ke? :D Seriously though, we want at least a couple of ingame years of progress so the world can plunge itself into chaos, then parties have external breaking points they can go toe to toe over. Everything else pretty much depends on the competence of the administration ;)

That's great- Adding it atm. If you're looking for the other parties' members, they usually keep lists in their threads on the Rallying Ground.

And now I'm off, LR takes a huge amount of time to answer all PMs and stuff . Also, seems Laurence has been busy spamming up the Game Ideas forum ;)

Damn Paradox, and the lack of search. Now I can't find the quote I think way in Secrets of the AARk which mentioned Third Battle of the Somme between Imperial Belgian Army and Federal Swiss Artillery in 2205 or something

I hope that for the good of the nation there can be at least a little compromise before we all go off the deep end into sectarian splits! Lets hope that the imperialists can lose with dignity? ;)

Tomorrow is election day ;). Elections start when i get back from college, think +- 15.00 GMT+1 . I suggest to all parties that by then they come up with some kind of election strategy to divide their 2nd votes, and possibly have a coalition ready. Elections rules are the same as in Realpolitik, namely

- Every registered member on the Paradox forums gets two votes
- Voting is done by posting in this thread (we will explain the exact format tomorrow)
- You are only allowed to vote once for the same party
- You are also allowed to vote for the independent candidates, if there are any
- Voting will last three days, give or take. We decide when voting ends, and at the end we count all the votes. There will be an election results update and the party with the most votes will be declared victor. After that, the parties are given some time to form a coalition and government strong enough to hold out against opposition
- You are allowed to post propaganda during elections, just don't overdo it
- If this is your first night at Fight Club... you have to fight :D

Good luck tomorrow, and have fun!

FINP's Anti-Communist Demonstration in the streets of Paris

finpstunt2.png

Brother and sisters, citizens of France!

Today is a grand day for France. The flags of the FINP are raised on the top of Arc de Triomphe. The French Imperial Napoleonic Party is making an Anti-Communist demonstration.

Let me ask you, French people! Give me an example of working communism! That's right, there is no example! Communism is a brilliant idea. The only exception is the fact that it doesn't work. Have you forgotten our most noble principles: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity? I'm sure you haven't, but the communists have. They only attempt to bring equality - and they even fail in that. We can not allow the commie rat to vomit all over us like this! Let me give you the things that communism does accomplish: slavery, poverty, starvation.
The only thing the communists have ever achieved is their existance! Napoleon, on the other hand, brought us Austerlitz, brought us Europe, he brought us an Empire. After his death, France has just been stumbled upon. Incompetent government after an incompetent government. Communists will take all the money to themselves under the excuse of their ideology. They take our property, they send us to camps. With the Reds in the rule, the French life expectancy can be immediately lowered by 20 years.

Some say that communism is the best form of ideology. Except for the others that have been tried.

Have you got an example where communism works?
Have you realized their true plans, hidden behind the beatiful words?

HELL NO YOU HAVEN'T!

Will you vote for the oppressors, instead of the rebuilders? Will you allow their backdoor backstabbing deals? Will you allow shady business behind the curtains, hidden from the people?

HELL NO YOU WON'T!

French citizens, I hope you have finally realized that communism is pure chaos. There is only one rule that applies:

Dead to the Red.

Citizens, grab the flags of the Communists and burn them! Purge them! Blast them!

French Imperial Napoleonic Party will rebuild the society, not take it away from the people!

Vive la France.
