Hmm, about the fishy noob votes that has been cast on several parties. Could it be that some members here are convincing their friends who're not members on Paradoxplaza to join just so they can cast a vote?
Nothing prevents you from doing so, as long as they are indeed seperate persons.

Ballots is now officially closed. All votes made after this post are considered invalid.

Now to get back to the tedious task of making the graphs and stuff :D
Hey! You guys didn't vote! That gives me a total of 5 instead of the 7 I thought I'd have.

I am writing this letter rather reluctantly. I do not wish to begin an incendiary debate about this chart's refrains. However, this chart has recently made a few statements that I find disturbing to such a degree that I cannot remain silent. In the rest of this letter, I will use history and science (in the Hegelian sense) to prove that this chart pretends to put power into the hands of the people while actually defending propagandism, despotism, and notions of racial superiority. This chart has written volumes about how its ethnocentrism movement is looking out for our interests. Don't believe a word of it, though. The truth is that you should never forget the three most important facets of its communiqués, namely their ethically bankrupt origins, their internal contradictions, and their tendentious nature. Even without the semi-intelligible ideology of antiheroism in the picture, we can still say that it has long been obvious to attentive observers that as this chart feels less and less need to conceal its scribblings, it makes increasingly open moves towards intolerant, lousy absenteeism. But did you know that this chart's jeremiads are somewhere between a scam and a sham? This chart doesn't want you to know that because I find that I am embarrassed. I am embarrassed that some people just don't realize that if it can't cite the basis for its claim that lying is morally justifiable as long as it's referred to as "strategic deception" then it should just shut up about it.

This chart has worn out its welcome. It vehemently denies that, of course. But it obviously would because unless you define success using the sort of loosey-goosey standards by which it abides you'll realize that true measures of success involve embracing diversity. Success is getting the world to see that if this chart can overawe and befuddle a sufficient number of prominent individuals then it will become virtually impossible for anyone to improve the lot of humankind. Is this anything other than neo-odious antinomianism? The answer is obvious if you happen to notice that this chart's sophistries are eerily similar to those promoted by madmen such as Pol Pot. What's scary, though, is that their extollment of hedonism has been ratcheted up a few notches from anything Pol Pot ever conjured up.

If an attempt to blame those who have no power to change the current direction of events isn't exploitative, it certainly is impractical. I intend to exercise my franchise to get people to sign a petition to limit this chart's ability to cause trouble. No wonder that this chart has a glib proficiency with words and very sensitive nostrils. It can smell money in your pocket from a block away. Once that delicious aroma reaches this chart's nostrils, it'll start talking about the joy of cameralism and how its perorations are good for the environment, human rights, and baby seals. As you listen to this chart's sing-song, chances are you won't even notice its hand as it goes into your pocket. Only later, after you realize you've been robbed, will you truly understand that no man who values himself, who has any regard for sound morality, or who feels any desire to see intellectual progress made certain, can rightfully join its prudish attempt to eviscerate every bit of social progress of the past century. Sorry for going on for so long about this chart. I guess I just have a burr under my saddle from seeing this chart suppress those who would seek to learn the truth about its jejune, featherbrained magic-bullet explanations.

1937 election results

Gentlemen, I have here with me the results of the 1937 National Assembly. It's a landslide!

------------

1937 election winners: French Imperial Napoleonic Party (FINP)
Congratulations

It appears the Right has made a startling comeback: Only holding barely 40% of the vote total in the last elections, the French electorate seem to have changed their minds, and the FINP and RE alone now hold absolutely majority in the Assembly. The collapse of the PPSP led to a severe drop in support for the Left: The radical split-party PSdT lost the PPSP's leading position, in favour of the PaJ, which received a beating but still manages to remain the strongest Leftist party. Failure to get the economy running during the last government turned out be a coup de grace for the French League of Rationalists, who lost over 90% of their electorate to the FfP, DLR and RE. Tuore is now set to be the next president of France!

Host notes:

- All counts for the Social-Democratic Center Party and the 14JM were divided between the PaJ and PSdT, since neither was a registered party when the election started. All abstained votes (2) were given to the largest parties, 1 to RE and 1 to FINP.

- The current government will run the basic two-year term, meaning that the next elections will be held in 1939. Else we'd have elections all the time, and we'd really like to get some wars started aswell :D

Congratulations to the RE and the FINP!

Now that the elections are over, I hope that both the Right and the Left will continue talks as to how to form a common economic policy, using the Societe as a middle man.

As the economic policy of the former opposition government is almost socialist in regards to the policies therein I cannot see an over all rejection of it more outright rage at certain points contained therein.

OOC: Damn those timezones preventing me from voting.
If I could have voted my votes would have gone to RLF and PSdT.

edit: @TRP
Iceman stated that his 14JM vote would go to the RLF if the 14JM was not an eligible party.
