Yeah, it doesn't get a veto in since it doesn't involve something random like armed revolution or something. But anyhow, I'm logging off for the day, this was the most hectic authAARing day I ever did methinks. This thread grew 200 posts in twelve hours, I answered somewhat 60 PMs, another 12 on AARland, and in the meanwhile went to vote in the Belgian real-life elections (Flemish separatists won ).

Good night to all!
Vince

:D good job anyway, thanks for that...we owe you guys a lot...

We can post items as well right, for voting? I would like to cast a bill in which we focus at least one tech team to Nuclear Research, and also cast a bill in which we focus on industry.

Well, I like it that the Flemish separatists won :D it improves the chance that in the future Flanders joins the Netherlands :D, we will be welcoming them, they get more chances on World Cups... (that would be enough for you Flemish guys to join us right? )

Nevertheless, I want to see government policy!!! we demand it!!!

Tim

- Crisis in the Far East: Mao's communists have launched a full-scale assault on the Imperialist Qing Clique. Germany has already pledged her support for the Qing, while other friendly socialist states are sending reinforcements to Mao's aid. What is France's stance on the matter?

I and the Officers wont allow any good french soldiers to be send to fight a war in the name of communism in the far east.

- Rightists fleeing France: In a move of popular sentiment after their electoral defeat, many Rightist parties have called for an evacuation of France to the Right-Autocratic state of National France. The government may decide to restrict their movement, or let them go freely. Be warned though, among these rightists are many officers and militarymen who could bolster the colonies in the event of future conflicts.

The ships stay at port until the Government policy comes out and then we shall decide the out come of this.

- The Orléans Military Treaties: The Treaties of Orléans are forbidding us to train an army larger than 20 divisions, or any form of credible air force or navy. It is up to the government to decide if it desires not to aggravate Germany, or to begin an agressive remilitarisation campaign, aimed at increasing our defence capabilities against Germany and our global power projection.

These treaties are weakening our capability of defendin ourselves. We demand the government to break these treaties as they are clearly unfair and the signatories have been forced to sign them.

I agree with this. The Orleans treaty is a disgrace, and whilst Germany is distracted the Government should make all haste to seize this opportunity for French greatness to be relit.

Sorry, but.... It seems like your all just bluffing. You won't leave France either way, you just want to have something to hold against the government.

Wanna bet on it?

Its good to see that the government and opposition will work together on this issues have taking off the chains of the past. Will the RE and FINP work with us on this issue? The government will take suggestion that are good besides the one's we are currently working on.

Doctrine wise, France should invest in new motorized doctrines which promise greater power of the army for smaller size, and that's what we need until we throw away the shackles of that treasonous treaty.
Also, since we will need many vehicles for our new army, we should for now invest heavily into industry, and since we are bound by treaty not to have a big army, we can't expand anyway.

Yes, the darn treaties of Orleans should be thrown into the River Seine already.

Forget about the damn treaty. What's the use of tearing it apart if you have a bankrupt nation? What's the advantage in expanding our armies, when our people can barely eat? Rebuild the country economically first, then you decide what to do with that cursed piece of paper.

But the treaty is where much of our money is going! While we certainly need to be able to help our people eat (and the PPSP have plans to help the agriculture sector) this is an issue that needs to be dealt with almost immediately.

Yes, but the germans won't just accept it. What if they do something radical?
Also, how much resources we give germany monthly because of the treaty.

Honestly, I can not give exact figures, though I am sure that my comrades in government can, if you allow them time to answer.

Even Germany knows that her actions towards France were punitive and grossly unfair. They put no time limit on how much we have to pay them. We could still be paying them in 2050 unless something is done.

Who said we are leaving? We've said that we will help those who want to escape France.

Our coalition doesn't agree with everything in your government, but to defeat Germany, we must cooperate.

I'd love a wikipedia map with all current borders too, but it's a hassle to make so I'm not sure if we will. The situation on other fronts has already been explained in previosu updates, if it's not explained that means nothing interesting has happened there yet.

Aside from that, no prob, we'll wait with updates until the government has formed their plans. In the meanwhile, Parliament members can go discuss the IC budget bill on the game forums

Remember that is you're going to say something in the world is so, you have to run it by us first - Else, someone could just walk in here and say aliens are attacking Paris or something equally odd ;)

Aliens are attacking Paris!

Oh..wait... ;)
