As I'm going over Austrian and Hungarian events, in preparation for making Cilli, I had this idea - if a separate tag for Jan Jiskra appears too wasteful, why not make Carpathia a part of Cilli (at the death of Albrecht event) and invoke Jiskra as leader. I wonder if it would work, or would strange things happen? And even if it worked, wouldn't it be too strange and ahistorical?

I guess you know that it wasn't. But I was scolded for asking that in submissions thread, and I don't know how to get the matter decided in any other way than submitting its events.

I would welcome your advice on how to decide it before I actually do the work.

Considering that a Slovakia tag used for Jiskra in the 15th century could be reused for Imre Thököly's rebellion in the 17th century, I'd in fact say that a tag for Slovakia is less wasteful than one for Cilli ;)

I'm all for making things hard :D But 140d is an awful lot 1469 for such a small state as Styria. But make it a bit more than 40d, if you think that is better!

I trust your judgement. I'll make it 40.

Then you'd need to use a more generic name for it, though ;) I personally am in favour of giving a tag to both Cilli and Slovakia if the situation in the Danube countries in the 15th century works out more historically then; if it doesn't (which it well might, since new countries can always cause unpredicted problems), then obviously these countries shouldn't be introduced.

Agreed. It would be very nice if there was a command enabling change of the country name during the game.

I was looking at Austrian monarchs. As things stand, Frederic III is now austrian monarch from 1439 on. It was, in fact, Ladislaus, who inherited his father's title as duke of Austria. So I prpoopose the following sequence:

1439 - 1440 Interregnum - vacant
1440 - 1452 Frederic as regent (but an option, by event, that he isn't)
1452 - 1456 Ulrich Cilli as regent (again, perhaps, as an option)
1456 - 1457 (23.11.) Ladislaus Postumus
1457 - 1462 Albrecht
1462 Frederic, with, perhaps, Corvinus 1485 - 1490, if Hungary manages to control Vienna.

If no one sees any problems with it, I'll script the events.

Some further comments:
- I like how you merged our descs :) Now wouldn't it be nice to somehow explain who Cilli is?
- at least the historical choice in the regency event should have the DP effects of my event, i.e. centralisation -1 and aristocracy +1, since Friedrich IV's regency, during which Styria was governed from Tyrol by a regent whose main interest was to get as much profit as possible for himself out of his office, led to a notable weakening of central power and further strengthened the local noble dynasties. Perhaps Hermann of Cilli could give aristocracy +2 (and no centralisation hit), since a Cilli regency would have strengthened their position even more, but he would have focussed more on Styria and its interests and thus wouldn't have let central power decay?
- just a minor quibble, but Friedrich IV was not the fourth Friedrich ruling Tirol, but the fourth Hapsburg named Friedrich, thus he actually wasn't "Friedrich IV of Tirol". It should (although it is of no importance) be "The regency of Friedrich IV, Count of Tirol" (as it already is in the desc :) )
- as already said in the other thread, the historical choice in 1431 should be to prolong the regency, and the event that lets Styria break it anyway should happen in 1436, when Albrecht had come off age and pressure from all sides on Friedrich IV to finally turn the country over had become too strong for him to have a choice
- Hermann of Cilli should turn over rule of Styria already in 1431, I don't think he, actually being an illegitimate regent, could have prolonged it after Friedrich V had become an adult. The second Cilli regent is thus not needed.
