Kota Bharu
In the process of leading my Imperial Japanese army to victory in SE Asia, I've been stunned to discover that I cannot make any amphibious landings whatsoever at Kota Bharu.
Historically, this was exactly the spot where the 56th Infantry Regiment came ashore Dec. 8, 1941, at the mouth of the Kelantan River. It scored strategic surprise against the British at Singapore as they didn't think anyone could negotiate the jungles of the Malay Peninsula.
Not in HoI. There is no beach there, and no landing attempts by infantry are allowed. And of course my attempts to land directly on Singapore are easily disrupted by the 3 or 4 cruisers the British keep sending out every time I disembark my troops.
