This needs to be fixed asap, it seems to be down for 4 days now, what a shame it couldnt be fixed and seems to always happen, maybe time to switch to a more reliable database?
I to suffer from this (well, I can play the game though..) but its really not the end of the world, let the good folks at paradox take their holiday leave (it is Christmas after all), I'm sure they don't ignore this problem just in order to make their customers angry...!
This is what happens when you rely on vBulletin for your databasing needs. IMO, come up with your own system to register games. vBulletin can still call from the DB without causing so many issues and you'll spend less time fixing it, as a result.
The game requires no registration in order to play, you can very well play the game without registration on the forums. The key is only here to provide you with a game icon and access to the game's subforums.
Actually, the Crusader Kings II installation really does't work. A solution is to go to the steam folder and try to open the game directly. An error message will appear with the missing dll. I just had to install a version of Microsoft C++ and DirectX that were faulty on my PC and now it is OK.
My problem unfortunately, is that I also can't register the game and can't look at the modding section of the forum. So please fix this soon.
Why can't the forum moderators just let us view the private forums until they decide to fix the problem? That's the only reason I want to register my game anyways.
Of course it is not, but still... I would like to visit mod forum and I can't.
Yesterday I was @cinema and had to wait 1hr till they fixed their stuff. I guess it is generally bad time for anything more than eating ;]
Merry X-mass!
