Tordesillas "Friendly Fire"

As England, I was allied to Spain who'd given me Military Access. I sent troops into Spanish colonies to help suppress revolts there. However, the Tordesillas rules meant that even though my troops were allowed to be there, any Spanish forces in the same province automatically attacked them! Can anything be done about this weird situation?

There needs to be something done about this indeed, in my MP game, both me (Portugal) and Spain were at war with a nation which had my ToT shields.
When my army got defeated by the other nation, the army fled to the province besieged by Spain, where they were attacked by Spain and tgot defeated again and had to retreat yet again.

This has already been reported in http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35388 and is in the bug list as # 253 . Thanks anyway.
