The USA returns
It took while to come up with a title not using the word 'bug'
I know you have the CTD when trying to annex a nation with a puppet bug in the list but my version of it seem more severe.
Playing as Brazil (on normal, hey it was my first game) I took over all of SA + NA and annexed everyone but the US. Later I went island hopping and took all the USA's islands so I could annex them. Clicked annex, CTD, came to report it, saw it was known, went back to game.
"Ah", I thought, "I'll just annex its puppet first. How cunning I am".
However, when I loaded the autosave I found the USA had freeded itself. All of it. Plus the 5 colanies in SA had returned to their former owners as well. Same thing in oldautosave. And no, the autosave were not from before I took everything over.
This was in v1.01 on the NA version.
Edit: Oh yeah, I have saves from way back when I control NA but haven't annexed canada and the autosave where the US has escaped.
