Lost Territory on reload

I checked the bug list for this, but did not find it so here it goes.

I lost territory I conquered on reload. Situation:

Playing as US, I conquered most of Europe and started taking back the territory that Germany had initially taken from SU. It was definitely under US control once I conquered.

I manually saved the game, and when I went back to play, all of the original SU territory (that was conquered by Germany then US), reverted back to SU control.

I had virtually the entire US army now out of supply, behind SU territory. The started dying from lack of supplies.

I have tried several reloads, sometimes it appears it is initially back under US control (territory is blue), but as soon as I click the map, it goes to the SU.

This happened 4/14/1942.

System Specs (if necessary)
Windows XP
1.8 GhZ Pentium 4
256 MB RAM
80 GB Hard drive

No background processes running.

He appears to have a workaround for this Bug. See this thread:-

I've also had wars become undeclared on reload, besides loosing the occupied country.

In one game I were unallied french (resigned from alliance) and declared war on germany, which then triggered war on italy, czech and slovakia (the current axis)
I took over czech and slovakia, annexed them.
I had taken good part of italy and all the germany up to halfway poland.

When I reloaded, they had the ground back and my units stuck without supply in there.

BUT... the wars were also undeclared.
I had to declare war again.

Same problem

Playing as Germany, I took over Nationalist Spain in aprox 15 days, afterwards I saved the game. When I loaded it the next day, everything looked good, but when I clicked anywhere, this territory automatically changed ownership, leaving my panzer divisions without supply. Then I retook Spain and Invaded Gibraltar. As soon as I conquered Gibraltar......CTD. Anyone know how to fix this?

ya it is a known issue with the save not saveing the war status.
