incorrect travel time

1. I'm playing the scandinavian version with the 1.01 patch. Only played Nationalist Spain so far. It seems that sometimes when u right click to move a unit u get excessive travel time like 1 month. It happened frequently in my game. I had to right click with CTRL everytime and check the ETA every time i moved my troops. I dont think it happened with naval units only air and land units.

example: i move 1 infartry division from province X to province Y (adjacent provinces BTW) by right clicking + CTRL. Date is 5 nov. The ETA says 8 dec. thats wrong since i can lower the ETA to 8 nov manually. why why why? this happened quite often and is really annoying.

2.Sometimes when i move a unit they dont start moving immediately. this is for land and air units.

example: I move a unit to adjacent province. date is 5 nov ETA says 8 nov. But the red arrow that fills up with blue doesnt start filling up untill its the eight of november, but they still make it to the province in time. this is strange since it would indicate a real travel time of one day. I cant lower the ETA manually in this case.

3. Dont know if the game was constructed to act like this but i cant move naval units into the seazone "gibraltar straits" dont know if this is the correct name for it. but its the small one that connects the atlantic and the mediteranean. I can move units throught the seazone but not to it. why why why?

another thing. I was playing Italy today and i conquered albania and then when i went for Greece i was beaten back and my org was at zero. Still holding on to Tirana and my units are still in supply but their org doesnt go up it stays at 0. I let 2 months go by(for some reason the greeks didnt attack) and my org was still 0 on the units. why why why???

I have had this happen...but it could be that you are trying to move a mechanized unit into the mountains, or a non-specialized unit (for that type of terrain) into a rugged area? I think that is what it is.

It not a bug or a problem.

It designed so that you can co-ordinate attacks from different provences and units to attack/arrive all at the same time thus getting a better bonus if you surprise the enemy.

When your unit dont move unil the last day then the blue goes quickly across this means you have told them to arrive at the 8th so they wait until its time to move.

To assure that your units move ASAP click on the month aspect of the date (make sure you are clicking the months back and not forward) this will autmaticaly move the date and hour to the earliest possible.

I do alot of co-ordinated attacks so the feature is very helpful for me. Others find it a major pain. But when you co-ordinate your attacks over diverent provinces with different terrain its a huge time saver.

i know that u can coordinate attacks.
the thing with the arrow not moving immediately. i have not set a later date than the earliest possible so they should start moving immediately right?? i coldnt set the ETA any lower than it already was. the 8th of nov (see the example) was the earliest ETA i could set.

any forum admins looked at his post?????

Some areas seem to take a truly astounding length of time to move into. That aside, there also seems to be a quirk that if you time a move into one province that genuinely will take weeks, that arrival time can pop up as the default for other much shorter journeys elsewhere.

I guess the reason why your troops have no organisation is because your country has not enough supplies. You should always keep the score of your supplies over 100, so it is guaranteed that your troops are supplied everywhere. If you constantly have about 0 supplies, all the build supplies go to your mainland and only if you have surplus supplies they go with the convoys.

Yes! Thats exactly whats happens when we plays. The troops can`t move and it takes several weeks to move anywhere. When you save the game and restart it it works without any problem?

I've had this problem fairly frequently myself. Sometimes, even on open terrain, the computer sometimes adds more than a month of travel time. The work around is to abort the current move and then reroute the unit. The problem is usually solved then.
