Forts disappear - air attack?

Germany, 1936 scenario, 1.03b.
I have constructed lvl3 forts in the provinces adjacent to France prior to the outbreak of war.

I complete the conquest of Poland and checkon the West - my forts in Saarbrucken are gone!

The French have been divebombing me - are they taking out my forts? If so, this seems ridiculously easy. Can I do the same to the Maginot line? Or is this a b*g?

Aircombat effectively destroys forts.

Wait a minute, i thought airbombing destroyed forts....

can you clarify this issue? its a real major bug if it is as it effects strategy for all the defensive nations in the game......

It has been proved that fighters also damage forts... That *IS* the bug
