Expeditionnary forces pbs
I ve already posted about this but no reponse so far... A number of problems occur with exp forces:
1. Disappearing planes and ships
If you send planes or ships there is a high likelyhood that the AI receiving country will simply keep them and never return them again. This seems to occur when the AI reorganizes stacks, whereupon the owning country does not have access anymore to the forces that have been lent as they probably are now under the command of one of the AI country's leaders.
2. AI sending exp forces
AI keeps sending exp forces to you without you asking. This is very annoying. There should be a diplo option to ASK for exp forces.
3. No limits
There is no limit on the amount of exp forces that can be sent. Hence you can send your whole army -or fleet- to an ally or for that matter to any country. This leads to strange behavior especially in MP.
4. 5th column
Send exp forces to an AI country you want to conquer. Position them on all victory locations. Reclaim control and dow immediately .. et voila ... Annex in the next second....
5. What about those diplomats ?
It costs no dip points to send expeditionnary forces ...(one would assume this would require a minimum of diplomatic effort, especially when sending them to countries you are not allied with)
6. Thank you for the food
Exp forces are supplied by the receiving country... good but this means I can send my whole army to a potential ennemy AI nation and have that nation foot the supply cost and even bring that nation economy to a standstill if I have a large army....
7. Recruit locally
Exp forces are replenished by the receiving nation ... So say I am UK , taking heavy losses in France .... Quick, exp force my depleted units, and France will make up the losses without any cost in manpower for me.... For that matter any country that wishes to replenish depleted units for free can exp force them to some AI nation...
Granted some of these are not bugs per se... but still the whole exp forces concept requires some thorough rework....
