End of Winter War causes end of entire war - intended?

Hullo.

This happened using the Bolted HoI, but as that doesn't mod the Events, I thought this might be of interest. Using Pan Vision 1.01.

Was playing a hands-off as Costa Rica when the following mess happened.

*The Winter War occured.
*Finland joins Axis.
*Germany, after killing the Frenchies, declare war on USSR and invade.
*USSR finishes off Finland, thereby getting the event "The end of the Winter War", chooses "We'll settle for what we asked for" and gets a few provs. Great. Only:
*As USSR vs. Finland ends, so does Axis vs. USSR! The borders were restored and everything - which ticked me off as for once the Soviet AI was doing well - they were almost to Berlin fer chrissakes! :D

I noticed a similar thing, but wasn't certain why, when or how it happened, so didn't post.

In my instance(non-bolted, vrs 1.01), i was playing us as a neutral and one day looked across the map and was astounded how far germany was into the soviet union. I joined the allies and went about trying to rectify matters....sometime after i checked the map to see what was happening, only to notice that the SU had suddenly returned to pre-war lines...

As far as I know from my ww2 knowledge, the war 'ended' after USSR failed to achieve its plans of territorial grabs, notably the city of Viipuri(Vyborg to the Russians).

How the events engine handles this in game terms, it results in an end to the entire conflict. Although in reality they never stopped border skirmishes, but as we all know the Soviet Union became the victim of German aggression so they lost interest in restarting a full fledged war.

It all makes sense when you look at it that way. However, there is an option on both sides of the event to keep going with the war, by the way.

I wouldnt call it a bug, just a slight limitation of the diplomatic model that really doesnt reflect 'border wars' well, either its full swing war, or peace treaty. It wont allow for grey. Hope I've made it a bit clearer.
Cheers,
-SS
