OK,

I was playing germany. I had taken all of england except for some of the african posessions. When I annex england, the game CTDs

Also when I invade the US, taking either florida or alabama causes a ctd, im not sure which one.

Another ctd is I think when I take Baha.

The date is late 45.

I also have no real idea how to invade anyything. Can anyone give me some idea how this is done?

CTDs are a known issue with annexations and being worked on.

To invade, the province must allow for invasion. You can tell by a beach/banana/stepping stone along the province's coast. E.g., you'll find it in Cherbourg, or along the South England coast.

Also... TO invade, don't get your ships into an enemy port as I explained to someone yesterday. This is a bug and will be fixed. Move your ships in the seazone adjacent to the province you want to invade, click your ships and press UNLOAD TROOPS. Right-click in the province... There you go
