Hi everyone

I know that some actions can tell you if she is pregnant or not like the action to have a duel with someone
I also know that you can see it from charinfo

But is there any other way in ironman to know if she's pregnant without having to wait 3 months ?
I saw on the workshop that some mods get to display infos only avaible in charinfo usually (like health, cuckoldry etc.) so would the "is pregnant with child of..." charinfo entry could also be displayed in a non achievement-breaking mod ?

I try to get geniuses heirs asap so I seduce multiple geniuses women, but this is as tedious as pillaging holdings as a nomad, you need to click at least 6 times before succeeding and more if you don't succeed at the first try. Then repeat until she's pregnant, then do it with another woman etc. And I need to be constantly doing this to breed children, so this is also very immersion-breaking. Also, there are always the same event so this is boring. So it would greatly improve game comfort to have this little thing.

Also, while I'm here, what is wrong with seduction focus ? I mean, even with focusing on fertily bonuses, it is not uncommon that constantly seducing a woman will get her pregnant every three years, so approx. 30 tries. I understand fertility is variable, but I try to only breed fertile women so I don't get to seduce them an indecent amount of times, and this keeps happening. I had a significant number of women seduced from 16 to 45 not having more than 2-3 children. This is a lot of clicks for next to nothing.
Wifes and concubines fertility seems to make sense, and when well picked they always manage to give me children on a regular basis, usually more than the average 16 to 45 seduced woman.
What's your opinion on this ?

Thanks for reading

My lovers always give birth to insane amounts of children. Probably because of an increased rate of copulation from love. I don't think it's just an opinion modifier but I could be wrong. I've had my wife at 100 opinion and a lover still gives me way more children. I think it's intended.

Yeah. You may want to talk to some actual women about the difficulty of detecting first trimester pregnancies.

Nope. :(

The Seduction focus isn't really set up to do what you are trying to do, unfortunately.

The chance of a woman becoming pregnant from a successful seduction ranges from 5% (Fertility above 20% but below 34%) to 50% (Fertility at 60+%). If Fertility is below 20% it cannot result in a pregnancy. It goes by the lower of the Fertility of you and the woman, so if your Fertility is at 40% then it will make no difference whether the woman's Fertility is 40% or 80%.

For the supposedly average woman who has 50% Fertility the chance of conception is 33%. However, you'll find that Fertility seems to vary a lot for no discernible reason. I've seen Chaste Homosexual women who have 60% Fertility. How/why? Beats me.

Thank you !
Where did you find the probabilities related to fertility ? That's a thing I wish I knew since a long time but never found any more info about this (actually the most complete infos I got on breeding was probability of breeding congenital traits according to different situations)
The last part of your post seems to confirm what I thought about fertility : there seems to be a base fertility that should be constant on every character, but isn't. Maybe hidden modifiers ?

Also, did your "no" to my first question also apply to the possibility of a non breaking achievement doing this ?

And kinda little out of context, but I'd like to thank you for your participation and your helping in general on this forum, I think you're truly a great person Karlington :D

Lovers indeed have a fertility boost, and having your wife as a lover gives you an even better boost I think. From what I've ever seen, opinion doesn't matter in breeding if you're supposed to have sex anyway (so concubine, wife, lover etc.), but can greatly improve or decrease your chance of being assassinated :p

Yeah. You may want to talk to some actual women about the difficulty of detecting first trimester pregnancies.

Yeah, I know that you don't just know you're pregnant the day after you did boing-boing :D But I'm not looking for realism here, and what I ask isn't weirder than knowing your son inherited your superior genes the day he's born. And this is not even the dumbest thing with ck2. Let's just feel the flow (I don't know if it has any meaning but I think the sentence is pretty cool so here you go)

No problem! :)

Pregnancy through a successful seduction is handled through event rather than internally in the game driver, so we can read the whole function in the game files. :) It's event WoL.98 in events\wol_seduction_events.txt . It starts at line 1556, but the particular numbers you are interested in are probably the ones at lines 1612-1702.

(The 20% Fertility requirement for any pregnancy to occur at all is at lines 1587-1599.)

The last part of your post seems to confirm what I thought about fertility : there seems to be a base fertility that should be constant on every character, but isn't. Maybe hidden modifiers ?

Yeah, if I were to guess I'd say it's probably a mix of random and congenital factors, but that is just based on how many other things seem to work, so it's admittedly pure conjecture on my part.

Also, did your "no" to my first question also apply to the possibility of a non breaking achievement doing this ?

I'm not quite sure what you mean here, but I think you're asking me if it's possible to see whether a woman has become pregnant without disabling achievements? I believe it is probably possible since we have achievement-compatible mods showing things like Fertility and Health, but I haven't seen one showing pregnancies yet. One guy was trying to make one but didn't manage to. :(

The only way to do it as things are that I know of would be to check the save file. That takes a lot of time since we have to extract the file, open it in an editor, find the right character, and then find the right line. It could probably be done much faster if somebody wrote an appropriate .bat file, but that's beyond my area of expertise.

Yeah, I read that fertility and health could be inheritable. Anyway I never saw it.
