Kingdoms not drifting into my empire

I have e_abyssinia and also hold all of k_egypt. k_egypt isnt drifting into my empire, and I've held all k_egypt for over 20 years. The abbassids have k_anatolia which is drifting into e_arabia. Whats going on?

You need every province and holding/barony in the de jure area of the kingdom. Check for some castles owned by Holy orders or independent barons.

Not Sure if this is right.


Do you have the Duchy titles under you? Is k_egypt owned by another realm? Those are the two likely offenders.

That part about the holdings is correct. You need to control every single holding.

Not sure if "allied" holdings count (your religion holy orders or actual allies) but yeah. Vassalized the Orthodox holy order and have no allies to test.

Had a hell of a time forming Roman Empire with Muslim order sitting in Tunis. 100% threat is easy to scoff off if wars are kept fast.....until you realize holdings don't give you cumulative warscore like normal wars AND orders are scattered across the map. Irritating....

Holding wars are really annoying. I took a barony from a holy order and just sat and waited for the warscore to tick up, until I realised it didnt do that, so I had to cross half the world to take their other barony.

You only need the Duchies and Counties. The Baronies are not necessary for the drift.
