Hi there!

Playing as Apulia I managed to control all of Italy, and then I found out that I could not create the kingdom of Trinacria, aka kingdom of Sicily, the one that exists in the late scenario, owned by the House of Aragon.

I thought that it may be like Venice, impossible to create during the game, but when I looked at the config files, Trinacria appeared among the titles that can be created during the game. So, either this title does not exist in 1066 scenario, or there's something I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for answering, and take care!

You looked in World_names.csv I guess? Pay no attention to the section headers, wether or not a title is listed under recreatable or not has no relation to the actual use in the game.

Recreatable titles are those listed in Province.csv. All other titles are not recreatable.
CK 1.05 (and DV) do not have Trinacria as a recreatable title, since no provinces are assigned to it by default. The Sicilian provinces all belong to the Kingdom of Sicily (or Naples).

It is possible to mod Trinacria in as a (re-)creatable title, but that would mean removing those provinces from Sicily/Naples. The result will be that both Trinacria and Sicily/Naples will be really easy to create.

Actually, if you mod in an extra kingdom it will work in the savegame. That's how I added my 'Kingdom of the Low Countries'. In the modding sub-fora there's a reply to my question which tells you perfectly how to add a new kingdom. :)

You'd have to split a new kingdom of Sicily from the existing one of Naples (in CK, dunno about DV).

Another work-around might be - creating a custom title for the starting Sicilian AI but giving a claim to it to the Hautevilles in Apulia? Dunno how the AI would react to that. But presumably you could thereby gain the title that way too.

The title is creatable if there is a province which is assigned to that title (in provinces.csv).

It may however not show up in your game because someone else already holds the title.
