Anyone ever have the Kingdom of Jerusalem show up?

I purposely started out as Mamelukes in the GC and created them as a vassal. Then I saved and started over as the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
It's a fun country to be. I am trying to pretty much wipe out the Muslim world from being anywhere near the Holy Land...then I'll take Europe and take the rest of the world.

I set them free in my game as Ethiopia, but then the dirtbag English conquered them when I wasn't looking (I was fighting a lot down around the Cape, forgot I wouldn't get a pop up when the they were sieged).

They can only pop up if set free as a vassal by the human player.

Do you mean it can't appear by itself as a revolter?

That would be really unhistoric. The crusader states were constructions of a small foreign nobility that conquered the lands and departed again once they could no longer defend them. Who should revolt? There is nobody left!
IMHO only christian nations should be allowed to set the Kingdom of Jerusalem free. It is funny to think of a Mameluk Sultan that invites some crusaders to give them the third holiest site of Islam. He should be faced with a long lasting rebellion against his regency, indeed!

Yeah, but what if a christian nation invades the land, then it could create Jerusalem, no?

Yes, of course a christian nation could do so. They can. But they won't have them as revolter. When say Judaea is controlled by France and revolts. The revolters would not be some unhappy crusaders, but more certainly the vast majority of arabic Muslims living there and thus join the nearest Muslim state if successful.

I know it's more historical that it can't appear as a revolter, I only wanted to know if it is indeed the case.

Maybe they should change it so AI creates vassals if they don't have them as a core province or with other religion/culture.

The AI *could* create the Kingdom of Jerusalem, except that the AI never creates any vassals voluntarily and no events trigger that particular action.
But it would be possible to add an event whereby if any Christian (or maybe specifically Catholic) country holds Judea, then the KoJ is created as a vassal.

I you have lots of revolts you better create it as a vassal...

The Kingdom of Jerusalem has no historical basis in this time frame. It's kind of interesting to fool around with as a player, but I'd be opposed to ever seeing it arise through events.

Well as it is now my Canada mod is very similar to the Kingdom of Jerusalem - it can only be created by the human player as a vassal.

Development is halted until the next patch due to a bug, but the event I want to put in to create Canada will be a "B" or even "C" option for the AI i.e. you won't see it very often at all.

And the colony of Canada itself is historic, just slightly outside the time period...

No, it can't. Quebec is included for a specific game purpose: to allow for a colonial revolter in that area and one specifically French. Without Quebec, there is a very good chance those provinces could rebel and have nowhere to go (if all their surrounding provinces are pagan or owned by the same colonial power). Having Quebec solves this issue.

The Kingdom of Jerusalem is in just as a toy for the human player.
