Playing with Georgia in 1066, I choose the salic consanguinity inheritance law.

The first king dies pretty soon, then his son takes over and dies in battle without producing a male heir, so a somewhat distant relative takes over (who starts the game in the court of the Byzantine emperor) when I check his heirs, I see that his heir is some-one from a different dynastie, called Smbat Siwnik.

I have read that the Bagratuni dynastie has been greatly expanded during the public beta's. So they might have made same mix up with the names. ?

It might be a case of very distantly related people having changed their surnames after their separation, while remaining male lines. That happens here and there in the scenario files.
