Kingdom changed to Khanate

My kingdom of Sicily is vassal of HRE. Which are ruled by English. The HRE isn't tributary of a Khanate or anything of the sort.

Why am I called a Khanate and how do I change it (is there a console command?)

fairly common bug in the current patch. I'm currently playing as the Khanate of Jorvik

I have this problem as well. Clearly an error in the localization files — I wonder if the default name for kingdom across all groups has been set to Khanate accidentally.

Fixes to this error and numerous other changes are available in the stable EMF Beta. It's easy to install. Easier than trying to hand-patch anything yourself. Links:
