No matter how many times i throw him in battles he still lives... I wonder how such a terrible ruler can live a crazy long life and even my 2 heirs die before him due to "hunting accidents". I swear that Paradox scripted it to ensure his survival :'(.

IIRC I just had my first 4/5/5 or better ruler live into his 60's, ever. Though for every year of great rulers I could probably recall twice as many years of regency or 1/1/1 rulers. My first attempt on a Brunei campaign I ended up just starting over because 30 of the first 60 years was regency, one of the rulers dying when he was 17, also had an heir die while already in regency because of that stupid event that always results in my heir dying whether I pay for a medic or not.
I´ve never had really bad ruler (1/1/1 or worse). I´ve had some great rulers, but mostly mediocre ones, or slightly worse (2/2/3 or something like that). But in my session with my friend he had 3 bad rulers in a row. 
Don't worry, 400 years after the War of the Roses he gets found in a paupers grave next to an Interflora shop in Hull...
I've never been one for regicide in EU, but Henry VI is such a bad, bad, BAD ruler that I too have resorted to send him into battles with overwhelming odds against him and I too have never seen him die on the field.
The only good thing you can say about him in-game is that there's nowhere to go but up. Probably just having a statue of a king ruling the nation would generate more monarch points.
In my first game with England he died in 1444 and I got a Habsburg 4/5/5 in his place.

The Spanish royal line in '44 sucks as well something fierce, 1 1 2 King, 0 0 0 prince. You can see the prince coming from a mile away, and trying to get rid of him is ery risky since the king is already old.
Sinkingmist's "Improve Monarch" mod can heal your pain. And it isn't overpowered either.
