Imagine how awful that would be in multiplayer: you start a multiplayer match with the new origin "under one rule" to create the most powerful leader in the galaxy, then a federation of players use espionage to kill your leader and end the big advantage of your empire. I believe that this could be enough to make all Stellaris players invest more in espionage, to have a real experience of why the nations of the world where we live fear this system so much.
