I play fanatic xenofil humans. The crisis causes lots of refugees. They are flooding my planets till I got riots. Also I have build houses as much as possible, 50-60 houses are missing. Sometimes the screen isn't big enough for all the refugee popups. I found no way to stop that. Currently half the galaxy is food for the extradimensionals and I have revolts destroying my empire. No way to stop that?

I wish a non-bugged and more reasonable version of this was actually happening in the base game. It is too easy to build a multi-species utopia with no downsides. I remember 2016 Stellaris where I played as Individualist humans and encountered Spiritualist avians. They were friendly enough so we signed a migration pact. In a short while avians were outbreeding humans and Spiritualism started to spike, threatening the internal stability of human nation, especially on its outskirts. It was not too bad, but the idea of Spiritualism-led and avian-led separatism was now a possibility. There was an actual hard choice to consider: remedy the situation by appeasing Spiritualists (at expense of Individualist ethic) or crack down on avian immigration.

Same with refugee waves: it should be a hard choice, whether to accept them or not. Because there should be long-terms positives like more productive workers, better relations with alien species and maybe good feeling about helping them. But then there should be negatives like xenophobia, unemployment and housing crisis. More choice is better.

"grateful refugees" :D
I like to put default rights to assimilation, so they get changed to psionics right away, also default social welfare or utopian abundance (no reduced happiness-stability from unemployment, social welfare is cheaper but has less benefits), build holo theaters in advance, resettle them to best habitability planet (optimally you'd have gaia, ecumenopolis, or ring world), build in advance districts that produce basic resources, expand specialist jobs on core planets. Advices about changing species rights above are good if it's becoming too much

Note that due to what's very likely a bug, if a longstanding one, "default rights to assimilation" also actually means "default to refugees are not accepted". (Basically, you can't accept refugees of a species template that has assimilation rights.)

For some reason, refugees also hesitate to flock to your banner when their default rights are slavery, lifestock...

yeah i got crazy spammed with refugees from crisis.. i got sick of it frankly.. impossible too keep up with building jobs/housing sometimes they get stuck on a planet too with no chance of migration.. i dont understand why that happens at all.. pretty dumb if u ask me.. how hard is it too have civilian transport ships? but u can build fleets of ships travelling from planet to planet... logic fail eh..

well, I think this is only fair , practically something that should actually happen. maybe toned it down a bit as it is spammed.

but a crisis of such dimension should create problem for those that accept refugee , its chaos if you are unprepared.

Yes, chaos is realistic. But there should be a way out. In reality you would stop that before everything crashes. Another factor is the amount of spaceships you need for that. We talk about billions of people.
Currently the refugees flood your system and do riots. Just to get wiped out by the crisis. That's just brain dead and frustrating.

Maybe... stop accepting refugees then?
