Is there a way to like assassinate my own king? (NO CHEATS)
I know that putting the king in a army there is a chance of him dying in battle, but are there other ways.

About the only other option is to reload to before he becomes king, and hope for some sort of "heir dies" event, or all the way back to the birth of the new heir. I've reloaded on a few occasions when a new heir first appears with a total of only 10 points in all three skills, to eventually replace a king who was almost equally bad. At that point, especially in the early game where the king's personal abilities overshadow the rest of the economy, I need some improvement, otherwise the game is essentially screwed for the next half-millennium or longer (because that horrendously bad king will inevitably live to be 90).
