I posted this in the bug forums but no reply yet. On the other hand, they seem to be swamped, which is not unusual after an expansion like SoI.

I hope this is a bug that will be handled. I just created the Duchy of Ulster after changing my county laws to elective monarchy, and the entire thing got reset to Gavelkind. I can't even roleplay this.

PS: Does this mean that when I eventually form the Kingdom of Ireland, the succession laws are going to roll back once again?

Seems to happen mostly when usurping or conquering through invasions. Had this happen to william the conqueror. France, england and normandy have primogeniture but the law somehow became gravelkind when conquering. The same happened when I usurped the Kingdom of Aragon as the duke or barcelona. However, when I instead conquered Aragon (through claims) then created the title, this didn't I kept my succession law.

I will make a try at creating a new kingdom after applying 1.06b after work, and report on the results, but at first glance I see nothing in the patch notes :(

Damnit. Newly created Crowns still all default to Gavelkind in 1.06b. This needs to be fixed or if its somehow an intended stealth-nerf, at least made moddable... It makes things really annoying.

I think the reign 'clock' resets too, which makes it extra annoying. So it seems as if your ducal laws no longer apply. This may be WAD but it's still a pain.

I cant fathom how it could be. Its a huge change, it would have been documented. Plus, its purely frustrating for the players and it made so much more sense before...

When I created the Kingdom of Rus as a Duke I kept my inheritance laws. The same when I created 4 other king titles, and even when I made the Empire of Russia. All kept my current succession laws and crown authority. But the Kingdoms I inherited or ursurped were gavelkind and whatever crown laws they had before. The short reign malus did reset for all kingdoms though.

Again formed kingdom of Rus and then Empire - same change from Elective monarchy to gavelkind and reset of ruling timer.
I remember quite well that in early patches I kept the laws when forming kingdom the same way.

Started the game as Duke of Gwynedd, so gavelkind. I quickly changed it to primo, but it was definitely gavelkind when the game started.

I had similar results. 1.06b, started as Duchy of Munster with gavelkind. Changed laws to primogeniture and eventually created Kingdom of Ireland which remains at primogeniture. Not sure what the logic on it is.
