Kicking the Assassins out of Masyaf?

not being able to do this has caused me to sign up and make my first post, so does anyone know if you can kick the assassins out of masyaf? i've tried assassination of the grandmaster of the assassins but he's always replaced by another muslim, this is the last thing i need to do to restore the roman empire

You can cause the order to disband. Or rather, the order can be made to disband. After I had taken their barony in Archa, the Seljuks took the other one, this caused a message to appear about the order disbanding.

it prevent's me from fully controlling the duchy of antioch, which is the last duchy i need to control to change the byzantine empire back into the roman empire,, cheers for the advice

DoW them for their holding and once you win the war they will become landless. It shouldn't be a problem. But you have to take the province from them, they are not going to disappear by themselves or leave because of assasinations.

Yeah, just take all their land. Easy peasy. It's only troublesome when you're playing as a small-ish state and really don't WANT to have a small County in the midst of Seljuk lands.

yes you can, being the emperor does not mean having the total control in the whole territorie, it's just a title, but it would be very interesting if it decayed your prestige

Kill random courtiers if you met some conditions, I think it's high decadence for Muslims, holding Jerusalem or ERE as a Christian.

They are, in my Syria game they were my backbone against the Byzantines and Seljuks, took Baghdad and Tigris with them. I also gave them land a few days before the Seljuks kicked them out.

Oh ok, glad I wasn't being stupid. I don't have any of the expansion DLCs so I honestly wouldn't know. But I am King (Queen atm) of Wales, England, Brittany, Portugal, and Jerusalem and I have only ever had problems with those damned factions... so I've never seen the Assassins... assassinate.

This topic is funny cause it follows my experience that assasins hardly kill anyone. I've seen dozens of threads saying they kill to many people to randomly though.
