The Khmer Empire was at its peak during the 14th century and it raised huge temples in the 10th century when most Europeans lived in mud huts:).

Will the Khmers be playable in EU2? I think they still existed and were a regional power though the country was starting it's downfall.

It would be cool to play as them.

And also, will there be events for pillaging? How much gold did the Spanish get from the Mexicans?

I know already owning the Mexican land is power boosting but The Gold and Silver Fleets packed with all sorts of shiny stuff were very important...

One should get some gold when we conquer a city.

Perhaps the Privateer option that seems to exist will partly be aimed at allowing other countries to sieze the treasure fleets of Spain.....as occasionally happened historically.

Khmer/Cambodia will be playable in the game. However, as the sack of Angkor was in 1431, you only have 12 years after the beginning of the game to keep the Thais out! :D
