Karaman and "star of David"

So like, whats that all about?

I tried searching and didnt find anything.

I know the star of David was NOT a widespread Jewish symbol in 1419,but was confined to Kabbalist circles, and its not at all surprising that another culture could have a six pointed star as a symbol. Just wondering if anyone has any citations for this historical tidbit.
