Preparations for an assault on Leningrad.
Time has come to destroy the capital of the revolution!
Landing in Finland is successful, proceeding towards the city of Lenin.
June the 23rd, Leningrad is within sight, the battle begins.
In the meantime - complete disaster on the Southern front. Eventually Soviet troops enter Bessarabia again.
July first, the battle for Leningrad is still going on. Soviet fleet continues harrassment attempts and is very annoying in doing so, not even because it sinks my ships (which it does from time to time), but because it disrupts my shore bombardment support for the troops in Leningrad (which is crucially important).
July 5th. Heavy street fighting is going on all across Leningrad. The Soviet troops inside the city are apparently getting supplied somehow (perhaps through that lake to the east), but they are clearly outnumbered. Surrounded and assaulted from every side, sooner or later they will have no choice but to surrender.
European artist's depiction of the struggle for Leningrad. (btw art experts - what kind of art is this? I'm just curious)
July 10th. It seems that the enemy resistance inside the city has almost been broken. Just a few more quarters hold out with armored support.
July 12th - Leningrad garrison officially surrenders. This is a major victory for the German Reich and civilized Europe.
