I would guess it's because Argentina grants military access to the Axis.

Why Argentina's grey is different from all the other greys?
A lighter shade of a full looking color indicates sympathy towards that faction, in this case, the Axis. A lighter grey than that means neutral, but I dont think we have any more neutrals in this game. So the Axis is black/greyish black, the Comintern is red/pink, and Allies are blue/light blue. Other people use the same mapping system (from wikipedia originally, I think) as kami888, so its good to know what the colors mean.

EDIT: My mistake, there are still two neutral African countries.

EDIT2: Yeah, yeah, Portugal and Switzerland are neutral, but Switzerlands neutrality is implied in any conversation. I could be talking about yogurt and you would know that Switzerland is neutral.

Switzerland's still neutral too. (Surprise!)

If it continues like this the soviets will soon have all of Asia, netting them 7 extra armies each turn. Therefore it is paramount that they never take Arabia.
Doesn't matter anyway, since NATO already gets 5 extra armies for controlling all of North America.

Am I the only one who caught that?

I got it.
But Germany owns Oceania, netting 2 extra armies.

maybe it is time to fill that grey hole in the axis territory with black
Nah I don't want to waste troops on Switzerland - its neutrality was (historically) actually very beneficial for German banks and businesses which enabled them to trade with oversea partners.

Chinese commies quickly get kicked out of Osaka.

This is how Balkanized Britain currently looks like.

A stealmate seems to have settled in Palestine region.

Soviets nuked Liverpool, England.

Long-range strategic bombers now bomb Brazil but still cannot bomb New York or Canada.

I wonder if that was worth it.

Red Army begins offensive in East Prussia region.

And continues the takover of India.

Finally that goddamn Korean aircraft is dealt with.

Reinforcements arrive from Britain.

Bloody August begins. This month sees the biggest amount of German casualties on the Eastern Front since the beginning of the 1951 campaign.

Counter-attack in East Prussia.

Polen will be fallen.... Soon.

Unfortunately the Reds are quick to counter-attack everywhere.

Although the sky is definately German, this doesn't really help that much.

A Red Navy battleship is critically dammaged, but not sunk, during a quick naval engagement in mediterranean.

The Red Army achieves a breakthrough on the central front.

Axis armies get kicked out of both Cheztochowa and Lodz, having suffered gigantic casualties.

Overwhelming Soviet attack on the King-city, only recently re-captured from them.

Elsewhere in East Prussia the situation is just as bad. Casualties are huge and some irrepairable.

Bloody August continues.

Counter-attack in east Czechia. Notice the horrible condition of axis troops.

Collapse of the southern part of the defence line.

Retreat from Vienna and counter-attack at Maribor.

Southern frontline is soon to be stabilized.

The first and fresh English, Scottish, and Irish reinforcements arrive. Their numbers are really insufficient to be of much value, but nonetheless..

Stealmate situation continues in British Palestine.

Damn Reds.

Frontline is stabilized for the time being, British reinforcements will help holding it.

Overview of the Eastern Front after the end of Bloody August. Lodz and Czestochowa are captured again, but East Prussia is lost.

OKH decides to attack eastward and hopefully establish a firm defence line along Vistula river for the winter.

Italian occupation of Scotland? What?! French occupation of Ireland?! I suppose you want to lose them, don't you? ;) I hope you can break through Soviet defences in Poland - it won't be easy...
