Kanem Bornu is so powerful that even the ends of the earth are parts of its realm.
Mali have converted some but they've been plagued by animist rebels who keep converting provinces back. I took Yatenga, to the south, to provide a colonised route for troops. Azawadd on the other hand I took to prevent Fez colonising. They have collapsed but it doesn't seem to result in changing state religion. I'm not sure what the requirements are for that.

Is Othman still in the field clubbing KBs enemies or does he sit in his palace watching clouds? I mean, missing the smashing shock5 in the front row will be a branch in the lines, doesn't it?

Thank you. English as a second language is no problem here. It can be tricky at times to know when but once you're as big as KB is now there usually isn't much reason to hold back.

I'm sure a plunder economy will be indefinitely sustainable. Certainly it is less susceptible to recession anyway. It is geographically stretched and could do with consolidation via colonisation. I'm working on it but it can be slow going so for now things are getting stretched more than they should be.Great work here. I love the very successful plunder economy you've set up.

Some had predicted that the burden of rule would strengthen Padishah Othman's ties to reality. They were wrong. After years at the helm of the empire the surprisingly long lived Othman finally cut the ties, spurious at the best of times, and sailed off into the realm of imagination and non-reality.
Othman sets sail. Unfortunately Kanem Bornu has little experience at navigation
Imagination - Fantastic for a child in a box. Not fantastic for an emperor.
So whilst Othman directed that his army lead a crusade against the heathen forces of the Shamboozler who were hiding beyond the Burning Mountains of Rampuncle the empire began to fall into chaos.
Chaos reigns in the new lands. Rebels everywhere.
Unfortunately for the rebels being led by a man by the name of Bubu is not conducive to a long life.
Did the poor widdle webel make a bubu? Awww, well tough luck, no sympathy here only clubs.
Still some good news was to be had in this turbulent period. First Othman's crusade against the Shamboozler was able to be prevented by means of a fake letter from the Shamboozler promising subservience to Othman. Secondly the chaos provided a great incentive for inhabitants of the empire to expand into areas less touched by the Padishah's rampant imagination.
Brakna is colonised by those fearful of being caught up by either Othman or the terrible Shamboozler.
So many were moving that a gold rush even began in Kefa as new inhabitants uncovered a vast new vein of the precious shiny stuff.
400 ducats and a little inflation never hurt no one.
I've been wondering when Othman would finally relieve Kanem Bornu of his rule....and still I wonder.
