Well things have been a little quiet on the diplomatic front of late. With good cause it seems. The neighbours are generally quite stupid.

Surely after losing any war by giving as much resistance to Kanem Bornu's army as an animists face does to a club they would realise there was a threat. But no they don't. Sounds like they'll be needing some sense beaten into them soon.
But being the only smart kid around can be a lonely experience. Abu, in an effort to find at least some companionship, struck up a deal with Songhai. They let Abu marry his pick of the princesses and Kanem Bornu will go to their aid in any war. It was a sweet deal. After all who even existed that could threaten Songhai?
