Short question... As I red the reddit about KR I saw they completely reworked Italy. Instead of 2 nations now 5 nations. When they decided to do this? Is this intended for 1.9? This totally passed me by.
It became known in October last year, IIRC. We don't know exactly when it was decided on, just that it was after Kaiserreich forum was phased out as a primary discussion area. As to coming in 1.9, it certainly sounds like it?

I cannot start the mod as it instantly crashes while loading the main menu (has stopped working, nothing more). I already got that sprites might be the problem, but I have them always turned off in the launcher. Checking in Vanilla, there were no sprites but just weird X instead of unit signs - what's going on, is that the issue? Or might there be another problem?
Running on Windows 10, some Intel onboard graphics, but anyway should be enough for DH. It is DH 1.04 btw.

So I tried the mod (after a while) with the new 1.05 DH version. The game appears to run fine in itself, but there also appears to be a generalised lack of resources worldwide, so most countries can't run their IC within a few months of gameplay. Is this normal?

Should I maybe fall back to the 1.04 DH version?

Hello, I'd like to inform you guys that I might have found a bug/the reason why - at least some of us - experience crashes while playing the latest Kaiserreich version. I am currently playing Kaiserreich for DH 1.8 Final 3 and I've had some issues with crashes lately. I tried to figure out why these crashes happen and after browsing through some game files I noticed that whenever my game crashes, the final action that took place is that a nation tried to steal a blueprint from my country and failed! The game fIle which serves as source here is: Steam\SteamApps\common\Darkest Hour A HOI Game\history.txt. The last sentence written in this document is always " *Whatever Nation* failed to steal a blueprint from us ". Does this happen to you guys too? (Especially those who struggle with crashes too)
I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or if this is a bug in the game, so I decided to post it here.

I have multiple crash playing COMMUNE of FRANCE alaways on 15/01/1936, but not this sentence in the history log

Hi, need help please. Cannot load any germany savegames, all the rest work nicely, but suddenly all the savegames with germany arent working, the game starts loading and then CTD. Tried changing the country, same result.

The savedebug states:

Hello guys... I tried to launch the mod today but this happened... Happens with every country but only with Kaiserreich Mod, vanilla runs perfectly.

EDIT: I ensured myself to use the hotfix, but the resources bug still happens.

EDIT2: Problem solved

Question for developers:
In couple of new releases, usually, there is much reworks of situation in certain region and rework of events, but, when there will be massive expansion of post-Second Weltkrieg events. Currently most of events for countries end in late 1940s.

They've gone over this several times. It is very difficult to add more events for that period because you run into an issue of 'canonizing' who won. They understandably don't want to do this.

(if you don't 'choose' a winner, you then have to write events for everything from a Fascist Russia coming to save Germany from France to Germany curbstomping everyone to AMERICA TO THE RESCUE and it quickly becomes a lot of events. Even just for Europe)

I tried many times of Darkest Hour Kaiserreich 1.8 and came out with some statistics about CoF.
In 25 trials with AI controlling CoF, 22 times CoF fight Germans without Soviet. From these 22 trials, at the start of WW2, RSI is 100% allied with CoF with 8 in 22 trials controlling whole Italy, 100% UoB allied with CoF, 13 trials with Socialist Norway as ally, 12 trials launched successful revolution in Netherlands and have an ally there, 7 trials allied with Ukraine, 7 trials with Iberians won the Spanish Civil War and join Internationale and even 2 trials annexed Portugal, 5 trials with Ireland occupied and installed puppet by UoB, 4 trials with Scandinavia in Internationale, 2 trials with Socialist Turkey allied with France and 2 trials with CSA as an ally of CoF. In 20 of 22 trials, CoF was defeated within a period of 10 weeks or 2 years, 1 trial went into stalemate, specificaly at the Rhine and 1 trial with German Empire was defeated in 15 months when all the cases above happened in that trial.
For 3 trials with Soviets, German Empire is defeated in an average period of 3 months.
Am I the only one questioning about why CoF could be easily defeated and the MP issue of CoF?

For the event CoF invades Italian Federation for German, what is the probability that Germany issue ultimatum and declare war if CoF call it a bluff?

Trick I used as CoF in WW2: Trap German forces at Reims. When German reaches Reims, event A New 1814 fires and I will have free manpower. Encircle them at Reims and launch a counterattack.

But once I reached the Rhine Germany asks for help, bring Austrian Empire (with Serbia and Romania puppets) and Bulgaria into war with me, forcing me to a stalemate along Colonge-Essen-Frankfurt-Rhine axis. Frontline in Italy is at Milan-Parma-Bologna. This frontline remains static for 4 years. Any methods that make me sign an armistice with German Empire with current frontline as border, like the two Koreas?

Even when they take Paul le Gentillome the CoF in my games is always out of manpower within a month of starting the war. They seem to be unable to properly managed their MP in general. In my current Transamur game I gave CoF (with Le Gentillome) 600 extra MP so they could actually fight and they quickly beat Germany. Now, over two years after Germany fell, they STILL have never once gone over 20 manpower and have a total of at least 189 divisions and are still building more!

Is it possible that something's wrong with the CoF's AI files? Because I very rarely see countries be this shit at managing their manpower.
