I'm fairly new to Kaiserreich and I've been playing as Russia to get a feel for it. I've had about 6 games so far and every time I've played, France has absolutely thrashed not only Germany, but the entirety of Europe and turned most of it into satellite states within a matter of months. At one point, I saw them take on Spain, Northern Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, National France, Ukraine, and Canada on at once and win.

Are they normally this powerful, or have I just been lucky? Also, are there any major events after WW2? i hope all those national populists are plotting something sinister for me.

That's not so bad. I'm doing a Russia play through right now and the International at the start of ww2 consisting of the commune, UoB, Ireland, Italy, and Iceland have defeated the Germans and all their cronies except for Ukraine, the Baltic's, and Belarus which I snatched up, the Austrians and all their puppets, northern Italy, a victorious Belgrade Pact, and the Ottomans.

Once Germany joined the Entente they conquered the Arab states and Persia who were at war with the Ottomans. The International proceeded to conquer the middle east, a united India, and all of Africa save for South Africa and a bit of German land surrounding it. All by early 1945, war started in 39.

They've yet to make landfall across the water in north America where the entente managed to beat the CSA, but with a sizeable portion of their troops trapped and destroyed I should think their days are numbered.

Yeah, at this point Commune of France is completely ridiculous to play against. By the time you've even recovered as Germany from the stock market crash, they've got a huge force to just crush you by sheer weight of numbers, no strategy involved. They have no need of allies, they can straight up take Germany+Friends by itself, no matter what events fire. I'm frankly turned off from playing any country within Europe without abusing saves to even the playing field. Please fix this.

I've found that working to ensure there are at least 12 German divisions in each border province (each w/ both an attached artillery and medium armor brigade) is the best strategy at presenting a united front to prevent the French from breaking through. With Ukrainian help it makes things easier and breakthroughs can potentially be forced, otherwise you have to build from the 12 per province strength to a larger force that can make breakthroughs more easily.

Following the 12 divisions to a province is doable if only having said units in direct German lands, having them along all of Flanders-Wallonia's bordering provinces can be a bit tough but is a bit doable. In either option I like to have the six starting cavalry divisions, the starting three motorized divisions, and the three panzer divisions you get from events w/ mobility doctrine be used as a mobile reaction force to any parts of the front that seem to be weak/breaking.

in my unlucky case, ukraine fall to a syndicalist coup . i had to dragg aload of forces from my french front to the ukrainian front. its 1939 already, i doubt that ukraine can get any forces to provide help once war starts. at least i got austria on my side i guess

Hi,

I have been experiencing a graphical problem with KR since the last 1.04 DH version. It does not happen to me with another mods (except with Fallout mod):

1- First, the screen does not fit all my laptop, and has some black edges. It is not a big issue, but makes the game less inmersive.
2- However, some buttons are not displayed correctly, speciallly the ones in the top left menu (where you select all your ships, province view...), making the game very difficult to play.

I have searched the thread but could not find someone with the same problem, but the fact that this does not happen with DH Full or WIF makes me wonder how could I solve this. I am eager to play the new version but i cant :(

Anarcho-Syndicalism and Communist really aren't that different. The Syndicalist Union is remarkably similar to the Vanguard Party in what they are supposed to do and the function they are meant to achieve. Communists do not for the most part dispute the value of workers management (they simply believe in a different definition of what that entails), and personal liberties are a liberal idea which can't really be translated into the language of either movement. Both Anarchists and Communists would say firmly that the state is by its nature a form of dictatorship, that freedom under capitalism is illusory, and that the only truly free society is a stateless society. Where the dispute emerges is that Communists believe that a state with all the dictatorial power inherent to those ideas is needed to overthrow capitalism, and the Anarchists would say that the state itself must be abolished alongside capitalism. In actual fact most of the hatred shared by anarchists and communists toward each other is bad blood before it's really actually significant difference. Leninists and anarchists don't get along in large part because Trotsky and Emma Goldman despised each other on that side of the split, and the rest hate each other in large part because they both blame the other for why the Republicans lost the Civil War in Spain. There's also more modern hatred rooted in stupider pettier shit too, but I don't even really care about that.

I applied the hotfix but for some reason the Sprites don't work and I have to use counters :/ Is this a common problem?

I've got DH1.04 and KR1.7

What's the issue exactly? If you are seeing a big X, then you disabled the sprites in the launcher.

honestly tho this is the first time i have ever seen a french doom stack the AI seems to struggle around the idea of controlling the strait to allow it access to Copenhagen and the issue is not the french navy it has quite a large one could easily push me out if it wanted to but seem to have no interest in doing so im not sure if this is a know issue with the AI in relation to the straits or its just my game thought i should share it tho.

No, I prefer less aligning with myself absolutely with specific tendencies of the left, I'm a member of Socialist Alternative in America (although a dissident member for the most part), and am mainly focused on trying to argue for a synthesis between the various factions of the American left. I think the IWW probably have the best ideas of anyone though.

Three bugs found during my first Soviet playthrough:
- flags in events about collectivisation are bugged (SOV_SOV_COLLECT instead SOV_COLLECT1 or SOV_COLLECT2)
- I have conquered Fengtien Clique, Transamur, Japanese puppet Korea (all JAP forces in China were destroyed) and event about peace treaty didn't fire. I had to use console. I'm not sure if Japanese-Siamese alliance was the issue
- connected with issue above: JAP previously liberated Korea and Formosa, then allied with Siam. After enforcing peace treaty JAP left alliance, so in SE Asia exists Siamese-Formosan alliance... with Formosa granting access for JAP and still with Japan-connected flag.

And I'm not sure if vanilla leftover event about minister resignation (in early 1939 Molotov is put into office) should still exist...

Just reinstalled the mod after having not played it for a while. For some reason, many of the countries are just black and all the unit cards are just black squares. I installed SKIF's models and Milites' skins, so I don't know if they have something to do with it. Here is the savedebug:
