Evening. Playing Syndie France. I've currently occupied all of Mainland Germany, annexed Austria, Poland and the Czechs, and the Danes are taking a severe beating. Is there supposed to be an event for Germany's surrender? They still hold VP's in Indochina, and my god it'll take years if I have to rebuild a fleet to reach that corner of the world to finally annex Germany.
In theory they should have had an event to relocate to Africa once you took all mainland Germany. If that hasn't fired, it might be a bug.

Africa? I remember seeing an event in my late game where they'd relocate to Indochina after being beaten by the syndies ...
Ok guys, it's minor nation Kaiserreich time! I've decided to give Portugal a go and boy, it seems next to impossible to keep their empire. More so, with the ever belligerent Syndies in the neighbourhood it seems next to impossible to survive! My first attempt ended by me being swallowed up by UoB and French Syndies after the Carlists won the Civil War and I joined their Mediterranian Bloc that was eventually DOWed by the Syndies. I think that was sometime around 1941. (before losing colony after colony to Mittelafrika, Qing, Princely Federation, ...)
Let me summarize my observations:
- Portugal starts with like what - 6 division in total ? Half of which are landlocked in the colonies.
- What happened to the glory or Portugal (navy)? All they have at the start is two outdated DDs and one outdated Sub + 2 transport ships ...
- So damn backward in technology. Even in Navy Tech they don't even have the very basics (Mahanian Theory etc.) covered. Holy cow!
- Few and low skill research teams, making it hard to catch up. Some areas aren't even covered at all (e.g. no specialist for math, chemistry, ..)
- Few transports & escorts, but lots of places to supply. In case of war you pretty quickly run out of supplies but lack IC to quickly throw in another 50 convoy batch...
- low on natural resources, requiring lots of trade (of supplies, thus reducing available IC further)
- no easy expansion given everyone around you is either part of a mighty alliance or much stronger than you are.
I terms of domestic policies I went with the conservatives and eventually went on the "restore the monarchy" but never managed til the end because I got annexed. Any good boosts coming from the restauration?
Anyone trying out Portugal before? Any experiences / tipps to share? What is a viable route to go with that country that does not contain becoming a Syndie?

There is a 5 % chance that they'll go there. In 95 % of the cases they'll go to Mittelafrika, provided that they'll let them.
They only surrender outright if they no longer control Lae, Colombo, Saigon and Casablanca, and if Mittelafrika either does not exist as a German puppet, or if it refused Germany (rare). If not, you'll have to take their VP:s.
Can't imagine it wouldn't. Never had to do it myself though, so I can't be sure.
Not sure this is the right place here but found a potential bug in KR 1.6:
Playing as Finland you get an event at the end of the Olympics 1936 stating that basically everything was fine. however, dissent +1 is added. I'm sure it's supposed to be dissent -1.

I`ve got a question-is it possible to create Visantium empire once again? For instance-after playing for greece and beating Ottomans? Or for russia after complete victory on ottomans create Visantium as a puppet?
No, but Greece can get cores on 3-4 Ottoman provinces, including Constantinople. If you defeated Bulgaria, you will get a decision "Megali Idea" about it

I got DH working, but after playing it for a total of 6 hours, I can't seem to load any save nor create new games. ^Pastebin from Savedebug.txt
Normal DH full works, but the mod seems to be what is causing it. It worked just an hour ago as I was playing qing, but when I tried to load the game, it didn't work. I have windows 10 with no "color-mode" or "win 8 comp" settings on.

That`s a pity, because it is a great fun for me-to become something great from something small.(for instance while playing for Mongolian Empire I concoured all the central asia till the ottomans and China with Korea)
And becoming a Visantium from Greece and Roman Empire from Italy are the greatest quests for me in every global strategy
I can recommend you to play as Qing Empire, Shangqing Tianguo and all three countries in India.
