Someone should look at the Mongolian events as they are a mess. The event to ally with trasmur if you annex the fengtien republic doesn't work, the Japanese surrender if you invade all the continental holdings doesn't work as intended. Also an event of getting some Chinese tech teams in case of annexation would help the mongols a lot (and the navy too) + being similar to the RL Mongol empire which improve a lot thanks to Chinese technology. Finally and event to get cores in case of of getting all the claims will make late game more interesting for then

Also Ceylon is broken. Want to make peace with the Germans? Release Ceylon, and the game will launch the events of rebels holding it, forcing a white peace

Bit of a noob question, but if I wanted to play one of the rebel factions in the various civil wars, like the CSA, how should I do it? Is there some sort of special event/desicion, or do you just wait until the faction appears and then reload as them?

Also, out of curiosity I have a few questions about the various civil wars themselves. Does the American civil war (or Spanish one for that matter) ever end up as a 2-way war? I've seen the American civil war not happen, I've seen the Pacific states ally with, rejoin, declare war on or ignore the US but I've never seen a scenario where only one of the CSA or Union state appears in the first place (or Carlists or CNT in Spain).

Also, is the Spanish civil war avoidable like the American one, or does it always happen?

And finally do the Soviets ever survive/are they supposed to survive? I've not played enough games to really be able to say there is a trend or anything, but every time I've seen them they seem to lose, and lose quickly. After watching them die yet again, I remember that in my first game, they managed to lose against a Russia that was being completely dismantled by the independence war of Sibera and the attack of the Finns and Alash Orda. In that game Russia regained none of its land, lost most of what it still had, and yet the soviets were still completely wrecked within months. I suppose its not impossible that Russia focused its efforts on the Soviets and that might be why it lost its other wars so badly but I'd still be interested to know if the Soviets ever actually win.

Honestly probably only 1-2 out of 10 games that I see the soviets appear do they ever actually win and seems to really depend on if Russia ends up at war with say Siberia and/or Finland or any other neighboring nation at the same time. Even then its an uphill battle for them. The Soviets alone seem to always lose the war at least as far as I can tell.

Also, is the Spanish civil war avoidable like the American one, or does it always happen?
Technically avoidable (it can still happen if dissent goes up enough), but is liable to cause a relatively boring game. A fair bit of the Spanish events and decisions (for all three incarnations) depend on a flag that says the civil war is over, which isn't set if you get the election event that marks 'you've likely avoided the Spanish Civil War for the time being'.

I noticed a big problem with playing as the Soviets... when invading Manchuria and Transamur in a war against Japan, you get the option to puppet or annex them after getting to their capitals or something. That's fine, but when I annex them, all the soldiers within the former borders of those Japanese puppet states vanish. I looked in the tab where it normally gives you soldiers to deploy and all of them appear to be on route to be redeployed in Moscow eventually... When nearly the entire army in the Far East is deployed within Manchuria and Transamur and it's suddenly vanished off to the opposite side of Russia, needless to say the war with Japan becomes much, much harder. Especially since they took advantage of that opportunity to land bucketloads of troops on the province where I was keeping the Far East Fleet safe, which also took all the transports I'd been making... This wasn't a problem with Tsarist Russia, so I think it's just the Soviet events.

By the way, are you supposed to need transports and invade the Japanese home islands to trigger the Setting Sun events? I thought that they were supposed to just need to be kicked out of all their mainland haunts in Asia from reading the event texts (it only says that the home islands are threatened, not that there were landings) but they'll never trigger unless I invade the home islands as I found out in a game with Tsarist Russia. I think it might be due to the "lost_national" thing which has a value of around 10 or something to trigger the event since everything else seems satisfied by occupying the land provinces, but I don't know what that bit of code actually means.

Edit: Also, I thought it was funny that the only province of mine that Japan tries to launch naval invasions on is... Arkhangelsk! I'm not even able to move my fleet from the Black Sea to the Pacific and they're able to launch looney tunes invasions from all across the world.

As Mongolia, the event for splitting Xibei land with the Qing that gives you cores on the bits you keep doesn't give you a core on Hotan, but does give you a core on Sumdo, which was part of Tibet (before I annexed it anyway) rather than the Xibei san Ma. Is this intentional? I realise that Hotan is a large desert province (is it the centre of the Tarim basin? I really don't know my geography), so there might be some reason for it being that way but it does seem a bit odd to have one non core province, entirely surrounded by core provinces.

Also, the event doesn't cede Yinchuan to the Qing, despite giving them control over every province surrounding it.

Also, would I be correct in saying that Mongolia doesn't get to core any (or at least most of) the ludicrous claims that you raise when Ungern declares himself Ghengis Khan? Normally I 'liberate' most of the lands I conquer when playing Mongolia, because I can't be bothered dealing with partisans, is their anything I'm missing out on by doing so?

Something is very wrong with the 1.6 version! 1.5 worked fine in this regard, but the command limit is bugged.

Every land commander can only command 0 divisions! (I made a fresh installation including the hotfix.)

So i've been playing as the Princely Federation and i've noticed that the Internationale has taken over the world.

They set up a syndicalist German Union. Is there a way to convert the syndicalist GU into a nationalist/conservative one ? With our without event cheats.

Can you guys give me any tips on how to setup CoF to beat germany in the WKII

In my game i bult IC until i reached a base of 200.then i focused on building a total of 90 infantry divisions and 12 motorized, you can upgrade some cavalry into motorized.I think my airforce was around 9 tactical bombers,9 interceptors and 3 CAS.As for strategy you should only need 7 divisions to hold the Maginot line and most of your army can go through belguim. If the Italian Federation still exists then leave a small force to defend there as well.

And when did the war start because what you describe seems preets hard to achieve considering manpower shortage. Building up industry to base 200 or building all this stuff. How did you do that. ? I'm a real veteran when it comes to DH and Kaiserreich but I wouldn't know how to achieve all that before the war starts.

The easiest way to defeat Germany is with mobility focus and lots of art and eng brigades and then attack where you can attack from three sides or the enemy is weak. That way you can grind them down pretty fast. Conquering Belgium is a good start, though.

I started the war in september 1939,but youre right.I only had 157 base IC.I could still easily make 90 infantry divisions with over 200 manpower remaining.I didnt spend any time making brigades for my units either.

What do you use Eng brigades for? According to the Hoi2 wiki, most brigades are useless, Eng especially so, so I'd like some clarification on this.

Engineer brigades make your units slightly faster (I think .5 kilometers?) and reduce the river crossing penalty from -30 to -10

I remember offering to make a list of province name changes for Germany and Austria, but I was told at the time that changing province names was not possible. Now that you have removed Communist province names from Russia in the latest patch, I offer my services again, since I love playing Kaiserreich and want to help improving it.

Dear Kaiserreich Team: Do you want me to make a list of proposed changes, like the following example?
Province ID 221 - Old name: Katowice - New name: Kattowitz
Province ID 196 - Old name: Brno - New name: Brünn
and so forth

Please let me know if I am allowed to contribute!
