The devs have made their position clear; I won't pester them anymore for Imperial Federation. If you are playing a more assertive Canada, simply annex the UoB and release the UK as a puppet. You keep all your ministers, leaders and units and you can justify it as being a temporary measure until the syndicalist elements have been purged, with the Empire continuing to be governed from North America. Post game is headcanon anyways.

edit - what I will do is thank the devs for making the best HoI experience to be had anywhere, bar none. Kaiserreich is simply amazing and you guys have my admiration and respect for putting out such an incredible game.

Yep, there's your federation enjoy. Also, thank you. :)

Is there a way for Canada/France to strike a deal with Germany? Figured the strained situation of the Old Entente would push them to sign a final peace with the Kaiser, with an undertable alliance to defeat the syndies and restore their nations in western Europe. A twist on the political table, instead of keeping locked in the 1914 tensions.

If Germany is defeated in Europe, there's a chance they might join the Entente after granting them some concessions.

I think condition for japanese surrender should be changed.

I control all of Korea and all of japanese continental provinces plus Fengtieng but since Korea is not their national province after the korean uprising the event can't trigger because of "10% national province lost" trigger

Are you playing as Russia?

Get a freeze with AOG if sometime in 1936 an ai switch for Geogia happens. (Can't open ai file error)

Have you applied the hotfix?

I can't extrat .rar files, so how do I install version 1.6? Also, how do I properly install it? I have to delete my previous version of it right? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Make sure you've patched to 1.04RC1 and do not under any circumstances overwrite a copy of DH Full. Use winrar to extract the KR 1.6 folder to your Darkest Hour mod directory and then apply the hotfix.

The LAST thing we need is to buff Britain's (U07) AI and/or position. Have you guys seen them? Unless it got changed in 1.6, they are insane. They do naval landings up the wazoo, can crank literal hordes of new troops and armor out, put out a 30 ship fleet faster...you get the idea. I would say some Navy ships should transfer to them though. That said, if you're not defending their sea lanes for a while, that's your fault. p-)

As a last word on the subject, things as they are make sense I think. I think people falsely look upon their work as getting punished for liberating the home. Its not necessarily the case. Sure it may be because of all your work, only to lose resources. But that's looking at it like a simple resource acquisition game I think. Starting as Canada, you KNOW you are sacrificing to return to the homeland. It's in the country description, it's perfectly visible from the domestic events, and the international ones. Canada's leadership is NOT people who want to make Canada the new metropole of the Empire. It is mainly exiles whose only single burning passion is to return to their homeland. They will use and discard the Canadians in this, because the Canadians, like the rest of the Empire remnants, are just tools to that effect. It's clear that a rather unkind imperial mindset that holds sway among the leadership, moreso with an increase of reactionary feelings because they are exiles. Exile did NOT humble the leadership, it made them angry. It can't be stated enough, but the rest of the Empire is NOT equals. For goodness's sake, it took losing WWI and being forced to leave the metropole of the Empire before the Empire "granted" Delhi status as a Dominion. Frankly, I'm not surprised there isn't more on the cooling of relations once The Isles are returned to GB. Maybe in time. At most, I can see events about "talks" about forming an Imperial Federation maybe as a very late game sort of deal, with no actual union of countries, but sponsored projects. And it'd be radically different depending on whether each member won their wars. That's besides the main argument there, if Britain is liberated by game end or not. Ironically, I see LESS chance of an Imperial Federation if the Isles are liberated.

Yeah, the British Empire in KR does not have a good future. Even the best case scenario is shitty- you control nothing outside of Britain itself, which tolerates your presence at best, and trying to take anything else back is going to involve an expenditure of lives and material nobody is willing to put up. Ireland? You made them a Dominion for a reason. Africa? Only if Centroafrica is there, and it'd be a giant slog for minimal reward. Your dominions all resent you as well. If Delhi still exists, it's empowered itself so much that it won't stay with you for long. With the exiles gone, the Canadian government will probably want nothing to do with you and will sure as hell never commit to another war for you. The Caribbean Federation might have loyal parts, but there are nationalist and French factions who want out. If South Africa has rejoined, it's only as an associate, they're still an independent republic. There should definitely be a lot of post-war fallout, but I'm also in favor of an event chain where the exile regime totally collapses if Germany takes Britain.

I think at the very least, when the homeland is liberated, the British exile ministers and leaders should leave Canada and set up shop in the new UK. Unless that already happens, if so, ignore me. Sorry.

They do that already, it's cool.
With a small individual chance for everyone (which does not end up in the post-Liberation British government) to stay in Canada. Of course, the event descriptions in that eventuality suggests it's because that specific exile moved to seeing himself as more of a Canadian than an exile over his decade plus in Canada.

I do question the description of Canada in the last few posts here, however. As currently described in the mod, Canada is not as dominated by the exiles as seems to be assumed here, and even the exile dominance relies on alliance with native Canadian elements.
