how come kaiserreich is not working for me i have the 1.4 beta for it and i made it a file in the mods folder and when i choose it boots up the old map from HOI2 and the old scenarios don't know why
Well apparently the hotfix isn't needed. I tried it without and the game works fine and there's no graphics errors.
Maybe you applied the 1.3 hotfix for the 1.4 version?
And again, we are not those doctors who you see on TV that can tell what's your problem from thousands of kms. Tell us what version of DH do you use, what version of KR, which hotfix did you apply, possible error messages, possible savedebug.txt.

It looks like the problem we had with the 1.03 RC1 where the tech teams were all messed up like that.
ok im using 1.03 update on darkest hour downloaded kaiserreich 1.4 beta i had no error messages what exactly do you mean by path i think it is games/ Darkest hour/ mods/Kaiserreich

Is there a installation guide for dummies? Installed the DH 1.03 and downloaded the Kaiserreich mod from the first post. Unpacked it and moved the Kaiserreich folder into the mod folder. After running the game it looks like there are no sprites and the game crashed immediately. I hope someone can help me...
Don't download the one from the first post, get the one on the KR forums. The one in the first post is meant for 1.02 or something. The newest one on the KR forums isn't in the OP because it's a beta, but it's the only one which is usable with 1.03.
In the first post it says Kaiserreich for DH 1.02, on page 256 we have the latest BETA version.

Thank you macscarfe. Got it to work and really enjoy the scenario. Great deep mod. May I ask another question? I've noticed Fulgencio Batista as possible minister option for Cuba. Is Fidel Castro (and his companions) at some point a minister possibility? Further is it possible to trigger some revolution event (or maybe it is a "normal" event) for Cuba? It would be nice to see a socialist Cuba backing the European socialist movement.
KR tries to avoid real-life leaders and events, not necessarily as a rule, but typically. Having a Castro-led Cuba would ruin the alternate historical feel of the mod.
They do use Real-life people, but they may not have had led the life you expected, so the chances of them appearing as they do in this "time-line" is never certain.
Difficult to make a mod without real-life people
