I like how much drama was sparked over the past day in particular while I was gone. To state this once more, SorelusImperion has nothing to do with Kaiserreich's development, or the Development team. On our forum he consistently was arguing for CHI to have an Imperial path. Even though his idea was rejected, he instead of being a gentleman and stopping, just got more hostile. Kaiserreich was started by Sarmatia, but the dev team still works on it because it is ours. Deal with it. :)

@K W: fear not, there is no split inside the KR team.

SorelusImperion joined our forum and started a debate in the Republican China thread. Republican China is a revolter (currently being reworked by KR developer Milites) which revolts against German AOG and the Qing Empire. We've recently added to our Beta new events that let a victorious Republican China take decisions on its internal assets (basically, left or right). SorelusImperion insisted on adding an Imperial Path to Republican China. Many opposed this for various reasons, first among them that a republican rebellion led by intellectuals who revolt against the Qing Empire would not choose another Emperor or a General/Warlord. Moreover, SorelusImperion was not able to find a suitable character as Emperor, but insisted in adding this option nonetheless.
Since we are a democratic team, we opened a vote on our forum where it was possible to choose whether to add or not an Imperial Path to Republican China. The votation were going to be closed on Friday, but after a few hours, only 20-30% of the voters supported the Imperial Path.
At first SorelusImperion suggested that even if only 30% of KR Team approved it, we had to add it anyway. When I answered negatively, he started claiming that we didn't own the KR Mod, that it was an open-source project and that therefore anyone could add its events and we were compelled to add any material submitted to our forum. The discussion soon degenerated and despite our proof he insulted us ("a random dude who claim the KR universe") and sent a clearly biased message to Sarmatia, without explaining the real situation to him.
For this reason, this evening he was banned from the KR forum.

Now he is here, claiming that the KR Team shouldn't work on the KR Mod and that we should add his ideas and so on.

So, again, let me be clear: FEAR NOT! There is no dissent or split inside the KR Team. We'll keep working on the KR Mod, we are united and we will probably release a new Beta of KR for DH soon.

Long live Kaiserreich! :)

Don't let yourself get fooled by a self-proclaimed team that had even had to abandon the Kaiserreichforum creating it's own as it couldn't get Sarmatia or any other members of the orginal team granting them sufficient modpowers. We soon will have one mod that is treated as private asset by a group of individuals and Kaiserreich a community mod endorsed by it's original creator and open to contributions from the average paradox forum member. None of the members who helped Sarmatia along are present anymore and none of the current ones was ever confirmed by them as decision making authority. With the revolution looming on the horizon however the Kaiserreich will be revitalized and strengthend. It will become what it truly deserves to be.
________________________________________________________________

So far, I had not the impression that this mod is run by the whole community, but perhaps I'm mistaken if you claim that everyone has the right to include his own ideas and suggestions into the mod. The fact that this mod is developed by a specialised mod team seems to contradict your claim, however.
Originally it was run by Sarmatia and a few administrative supporters relying much on community input but with Sarmatia having the last word. After Sarmatia left the administartion was left in chaos for some time and Akira took over. Then happened Akiras downfall and the mod sunk down in hiatus for quite some time. Now we have people wo took what Sarmatia, Akira and the rest of the community had build and claimed it as their own.

Why are they self-proclaimed? Do you wish to say that they are illegally developing and distributing this mod?

Not "illegaly" but yes they never got approvement from the original leadership. Neither Akira nor Sarmatia. They took over the mod and claimed exclusive rights over it.

This indeed doesn't sound gentleman-like, but in this case you've been probably banned?
My signature was manipulated days before my ban. At that point I took it with humor and ignored it but with the developing events I am no longer content with ignoring such an abuse of moderator rights.

I knew this was just a situation of some kid/person (don't want to generalize even further) raging because his idea was shot down in a forum that isn't even PDOX officially.

I readily admit that my mistake on that one point. Mea Culpa.
So we have Akira wishing you luck in 2010 and apparently no big falling out at least between you. Taking a look at the event files it was indeed someone else who had not such a good relationship.
The key issue is not resolved though we haven't any sort of official retirement only a statement of Akira prematurely becoming caretaker which indeed confers only limited authority and no ownership at all.
But of course there won't be any problems with having Sarmatia offering his opinion what do you think ? You can try to distort the events as much as you like but in the end it is Sarmatia who has the final say in it you not nor any care taker or any other self-proclaimed team members.

Sorelus stop trying to drive a wedge into the community. This all happened because you got mad your idea was shot down and now your getting all pissy because your rage-argument that this isn't their mod got shot down. Your acting like a child. Assumptions are often too far from the truth. The internet provides a sense of distance and anonymity to users so people abuses of everything x9000 times more, responsibilities and maturity be damned.

It's fully your choice where you wish to contribute and which mod you like to download as it is your choice which adminisration philosophy you prefer. Vote with the download button. It's not like there is any need for the community to stay united behind any sort of mod. You like the their illegitimate Kaiserreich version ? Go by all means get it. It's not bad. It has flaws but it is worth a try on it's own. Those who wish to have more of a say and want things handled more openly with a more objective approach and less of a top-down way to deal with things are well advised to follow my route.

Dear SorelusImperion
I know that you are angry becuase the KR team did't have accepted your idea/s(why they didn't accped it, no one knows),
Ofc, i beleive that every man can/could/need/have to vote/speak and do what anything he/she/it wanna to do.
But you need to understand that the World is ugly and most of the people are not individuals, most of the people are not gonna
accpet your ideas or your work becase they got "power" to do that, most of the people are gonna make your LIFE difficult.
The only few things that are powering people(moral people, inividulas, etc etc) are idea, work and desire(i am not sure if it is the right transalte).
If you really wish to have a evet(or anything else) like "Imperial Path to Republican China", Why Don't You Make It?
If it shows that your effort what you have done it one the evet is good enough to be good and awesome, probably they
are gonna add it to the KR mod.
The thing with the ownership of "something" is a very old problem that exist since Human knows for him self, so don't
even try think about it because you gonna get "lost".
In fact, the World is not as ugly as most people think, ofc it got some "bad" times, and "good" times just like anyones life.
If you wanna see a "good" World, you need to change something, you need to do something, you need to not only make
a "easy" life for you only, you need to share your ideas, and expand it to the "max" so everyone could live "easy"!

Greetings From Me
