Just had a bug happen to me: played Canada, waited for MacArthur to take over in the USA, and in the subsequent "The USA hands the power to the Army" event, chose option b, which makes you DoW the USA. Now I was at war with the US but still had a non-aggression pact; this resulted in me not being able to move units to their territory. To fix the bug, option b should probably also break the non-aggression pact.

So, I started playing Kaiser not long ago, and ... newb questions incoming.

I made a game with la Commune, choosed the mobile doctrine, industrialization, well, the most interesting doctrines, sliders, manpower, etc, at the price of dissent, that I know will get down a lot with Congress, Spartak (in Dijon, for -5%). I then focus on industry, so that by mid 37, I have around 185 base industry, with huge bonus (total war for +10% efficiency) it'll be around 300 available, and start making some secondary, including one stack of fleet, some troops to guard the coast (discovered that the german empire sometimes invade Brest or Marseille by amphibious assault), aircrafts, some infantry.
I focus a lot on armor once I got the tech, I can get ~25 armor (mostly light), but I don't have much mp for infantry (around 40). Even with the election +100mp event, the women at work, etc, I don't have a lot, and that's my issue.
I have around 650mp at start, with a .3 increase, but I've got plenty of units to build, which will lower way my pool. At the start of the war (this one started with socialist italy dow the italian federation), I've got around 250, but that's far from enough. My spies report that Germany got around 800 (and even through the war, where my mp drastically lower, german's mp increases to 900), Russian is in 1800, etc. The enemy got big stacks of ~25 div on each regions, so battles are quite brutal, and I quickly lose plenty of mp. After conquerring Italy, Spain (the Carlist were still fighting), Belgium and Denmark, I simply can't go on, because I'll fall out of reinforcements. So, I wonder how to win over Germany, with so few mp. Is mid 39 too early to get in war ?

Another question is, is there any way to really help the other revolutions ? From what I've seen, Soviet Russia, or CSA get crushed most of the time, even when I send the most help I can, except for the rare event where Soviet Russia take over Russia. I've seen the government of Ukraine fall for syndicalist too, but that's all. Things like Burma, Vietnam got pretty good chances though.

Also, the countries border Germany/Russia, like White Ruthenia, United Baltic got huge chance of getting coup (can get to 20% with the right minister), but it doesn't have much effect. They'll turn totalist, still be in Alliance with Germany (or puppet, or nothing), and in a year, the relation will be at 50+, and they will still dow me when there's war with germany. I guess puppets wouldn't have much choices (even seems strange that Germany allows totalist puppets), but the other countries should break down with Germany, and maybe join the Internationale.

Normally, making your tanks advance through the Neteherlands works. Once you annexed Flanders, declare war to Netherlands and breakthrough his lines, creating a vast pocket with the German border units in. Once the pocket is closed, mop up with your infantry and planes and that units will be destroying. repeat and win :).

In my experience, blitzing through the Netherlands isn't entirely necessary.

I usually operate with a motorized/cavalry/armoured army group of a total of 30-40 divisions subdivided into corps of 3 divisions, with one armour division to two cavalry/motorized divisions, which grants the combined arms combat bonus. Usually I try to support each division with an armoured brigade as well.

This army group compromise my spearhead force, which I use to encircle the Germans in Alsace-Lorraine and the Rhineland. In support I keep a northern force of around 15 divisions (divided into 5 separate corps of 3 divisions) in the Pas de Calais. My remaining infantry and militia divisions I use to guard the border to Alsace-Lorraine, beefing them up with allied troops from Spain or Italy.

Cutting off Flanders-Wallonia from German ground support is the first major strategic goal. The mobile army group attacks from Sedan towards Arlon, immediately attacking further on towards Liege, effectively cutting off German reinforcements. Mopping up Flanders-Wallonia should take about a fortnight. After this, everything depends on a swift strike into Luxembourg. With round about 50 available divisions plus those in support from Longwy, this shouldn't be too difficult.

After this, the Germans in my experience are far too disorganized to effectively counter your liberation of the working people of the Reich :D

One of my more successful invasions of Germany as the Commune.

That invasion path (Luxembourg to Saarland) is very thin. even more so -- you have CNT-FAI infantry and aircraft backing you up. Usually, the Commune wins like that.

But your invasion paths need to be broader. One slip and you can have a huge pocket of 20 divisions waiting for the German Army to chew up like Mentats.

I thought that I had specified that I usually try to get my Spanish and Italian allies to contribute troops to guard the front in Alsace-Lorraine. Of course, the Luxembourg invasion route is a gamble, but it has worked in practically all the KR French games I've had since I began playing the mod in 2009. In the example I posted things almost went wrong.

The Germans actually caught me off guard and threw my summer offensive into complete disarray by coordinating a concerted attack on my exposed flank, smashing their way all the way to Amiens, cutting off 2/3rds of my army in the Low Countries! However, I had aerial superiority for a few critical days, turning the German offensive into a retreat and caught and annihilated 17 German divisions in an epic Kessel in Mons.

After that, it only took two weeks of fighting in Luxembourg before I could spirit Manouchian and the rest of my motorized army group into Baden-Württemberg. The result: almost 60 enemy divisions caught in Alsace-Lorraine. How's that for a payback for Sedan, eh boche?

The above is probably the biggest encirclement I've ever produced. 77 enemy divisions destroyed over the course of the campaign!

Ok, thank you. I think my issue was that Russia already had his divisions on the front, which made each region (Mons, Bruges, Arlons too) at around 25 divisions. I surrounded ~30 russian divisions in Belgium, but the rest of the german front was still too strong.

I guess I have to make units that cost less manpower, and maybe more brigades. I didn't build a lot of cavalry and mot other than the base one.

Another question: Does the KR Ai not use nukes? In my russia game both Germany and the USA had all the reactor techs and the US even had the first weapon tech, but neither of them built reactors. (though I did a test and found that if I loaded them up and started a reactor they would keep building it)

Not sure why but I can't get the "we must focus on Middle-East" event. What are the conditions for this to appear? I've already taken Caucasus, Central Asia, Far East and Eastern Europe. And after that there should be "Middle East" and after that "Russia must be vigilant to keep those territories" or sth like that. Help?

That chain has been broken for a while, and I got it once, too. When I got it it surprised people because no one, not even some of the developers, knew it still existed.
Basically: It's forgotten about because it's difficult to get to the chain, and should probably be fixed

In my previous game the chain was just fine. And this time, from what I see in the files, everything should be fine, cuz I do not have the non aggression pact with the Ottomans, I control Caucasus and the flags apear to be fine too. But when the event pops up, there's only "we have expanded enough" while there shoudl be a middle-east option after which where was event 901985.
