Sorry for the delay, here's another update for you guys.

The Ottoman Empire: Chapter 6 1937
Kurdish Uprising.png

The damned Kurds have used the unrest and weakness of the Empire to foment their pathetic rebellion. You can also see that Egypt has been made as a German puppet, with much of the same government that we tried to defeat! Will this mockery never end? The Germans are our allies, and we have a buffer against the rest of Africa but it is still an insult on Ottoman rule.

The Ottoman Empire is at an all time low, suffering from a tired and war weary army, high dissent rates and now the Kurd rebellion? The worst part is that the Kurds have lots of newly minted infantry divisions unlike us, meaning that the war won't be a quick and easy matter to deal with. Sultan Abdul is calling for calm and states that there's no need to worry. He hates the idea of a free Kurd state, but almost fainted when realizing that Germany could yet again partition Turkish land. It's now a running joke among the cabinet that the Germans are our worst nightmare and best friend. In fact Kaiser Wilhelm is well aware, and is frankly amused by it all.

Kurdistan, our current enemy. Victory will come no matter the cost, yet the gains are petty. We retake war torn lands that will suffer from high dissent, low infrastructure and damaged factories in return for death, toil and suffering. The Kurds will feel the wrath of Allah upon themselves, that Djemal swears!

Unsurprisingly all divisions within three provinces are called into action, marching to strangle Kurdistan in it's infancy. Georgia isn't bound by neutrality as Armenia, and happily sends over five divisions of Georgian infantry to the fray. The war will be led by Von Oppen, though he's reputation has fallen after the Egyptian fiasco. Of course, as a natural born German it might be a victory for all the cabinet knows! In fact, Djemal has allowed for investigations into Von Oppen's loyalty. Anyway, there is a vast force of 11 armies, making up around 32 divisions, mainly of infantry with militia and cavalry providing support. This arrayed against the 9 Kurdish armies made up of 11 divisions. Hah, we have almost three times the number of divisions! If only our forces had ample time to repair... this means that the Georgian forces are doubly more important.

Our forces are being attacked all over, but mountains, much larger numbers and skilled leaders gives us the advantage and we win most of these clashes. In fact the Edirne Ordusu led by General Halam Pasha is attacking Elazig with his two infantry divisions and one cavalry division. He's arrayed against a single militia division and is boasts of victory. These are not empty boasts, and the Sultan is confident he will take over the province.

The French have been kicked out of Belgium and German forces are now pushing forwards. Will this mean victory for the German empire? So far the Syndicalist British pigdogs have not yet sent their support to their French allies. Unless they take direct part France will most likely be beaten, but the war is far from over, and any assumptions have a healthy chance of being proven wrong. Let us hope that the Germans beat the Syndicalists in France.

The military situation isn't all that bad, but it isn't good. The northern offensives are doing quite well, slowly beating the Kurdish armies there. The south is thinly stretched and doing much worse. The Kurds are making gains towards Allepo and Damascus, prompting the Turkish Army to send the Trabuslgarb Ordusu led by Von Oppen towards Allepo. From there they can slow Kurdish advance and counter attack.

The British Union has been sending over planes based from Italy above Istanbul. Our interceptors took part in a draw against them, forcing the Brits back. We threw them out last time and we'll do it again! Meanwhile a victory has been achieved in Kurdistan, our forces poised to take over the province Hakkari. Other armies have started their own counter attacks, and the Georgians have entered Ottoman soil. The attack of Hakkari was foiled by a force of 3 Kurdish divisions, forcing a battle on the Ottoman troops. A revolt in Dammam threatens our flank and there are high dissent risks in our Arabian provinces! Bad becomes worse! The Kurds have cut off our supply lines! Can we really win?

That's it for now. Sorry for the update being so short. I promise that the next one will be a lot longer.
