He pushed a cart to the trading post. Bobby wore pull on boots, white overalls, a white shirt, a white cowboy hat. An MP34 submachinegun was slung over his shoulder and a Mauser c/96 automatic was belted around his waist. Due to the ongoing civil war in America, military calibers were easier to get than civilians ones. His little dog Charlie rode in the cart. The day was shaping up to be a scorcher.

He approached the town. Bobby made his living looting the aftermath of American Civil War 2 battlefields. Bobby's sympathies tended towards Huey Long., because of Long's social welfare programs that helped people. MacArthur was scum that needed killing, as was Capone. He approached the town's store and began unloading his wares Charlie followed him inside. Trading was brisk.

Undamaged helmets were prized due to both air raids and tornadoes. Undamaged boots and uniforms were prized as clothing. But Floyd Sutler got a real treat. "Got Eight of them .276 M1 Garands, Floyd." "I'll can pay for you two." "Deal." Bobby kept one of these same semiautomatic rifles. Most outlaws used Winchesters lever actions or .276 Pedersen and .303 British bolt actions. MacArthurs bunch used Garands. But Huey Long's people were wisest of all. They built the Johnson 1937 carbine. They converted Johnson Light Machine gun into a twenty shot box magazine-fed rifle in .276. 20 inch barrel and semiautomatic only fire.

The weapon was more than good enough. But Long's people needed time to replace their .276 Mauser VZ24 clones fully. The gunshop was nearby. The six .44 special S&W revolver ammo netted both 7.63x25mm ammo, strippers, and several boxes of .45 acp ammo magazines. With at least twenty bandoleers filled with .276 ammo and clips, but he purchased no rifle ammo. However, he did sell two two .276 Mauser rifles he'd captured. They were bought by other customers as soon he sold them to the store.

But the six M1911A1 .45 pistols he kept. He saw a deputy sheriff kissing her husband as she returned from night shift. He Held a small baby, A little boy in a wheelchair. Little Brian had been shot by a Capone man while running to warn his neighbor of a raid by Chicago soldiers. The local hospital saved. However, lacking advanced surgery,, they had to amputate both his legs. Because of the war, he would not get a pair of
artificial legs.

The baby was adopted after a raid by MacArthur's cavalry massacred his family. The newborn slept in his Daddy's arms. Brian's four sisters were doing chores or working at jobs. Only three guns to guard eight people. Deputy Paula Brown Meadows had her .44 Special revolver and a .30-30 lever action rifle. Jeff only had a Browning .20 gauge. auto. Most rurals whom toted a shotgun chose a .20 gauge. First , #3 .20 gauge brass cased buckshot in a semiauto shotgun is more reliable than paper shells in a .12 gauge pump. Second, .20 held more ammo. Third. .20 gauge kicked but was just as combat effective as .12, too.

Still, three guns to protect eight people was not good. Well, Brian fixed that "Howdy, Paula." "Howdy, Bobby." "Got some new toys for you." She smiled as he gave them five M-1 rifles and five .45 pistols, along with their accessories. "And save Brian a pistol,, he's too little for a rifle, too." "Thank you, Bobby." She smiled. "This is a God send." Charlie made friends with all present. "Got some more stuff to do, Paula. Bye." "Bye!" Deep, down, she wished Bobby would come live with them.

The boys was thriving on his own. He'd his family when outlaws raided their farm. Bobby found their encampment and waited until they got wasted. He stole all their weapons and then used multiple revolvers to kill them all. Bobby also looted much jewelery and watches, too, along with cash. He sold their horses, ten Winchesters, and eight revolvers. He kept a Mauser pistol for himself. From a crashed Condor Biplane transport, he retrieved a case of Mauser pistols and a case of MP-34 SMGs both in the same caliber. He kept them for himself but entertained the thought of giving them to those in need.

These thoughts filled Brian's mind as he went to a jeweler's. Rings, multiple gold and silver pocket watches, multiple cigarette silver cases netted him money. Brian kept a nice bejeweled cigarette lighter for himself, too, Ronson was built to last. Bobby always chose quality. He saw a meeting of Huey Long's Freedom Guard. They were the National Guard of Long's organization. But their weapons were all VZ-24 .276 Mauser short rifles and .44 special revolvers. That made even fighting bandits tough. The Major had them on horse patrol.

He waited until the meeting dismissed. "Major?" "Yes, Lad." The major wore an white xavalry uniform and packed a c/96 pistol. "Here's a donation." He handed the M1911 and its accessories to him. "Corporal!" "Yes Major?" "Here's your new sidearm. Return your revolver to the arms locker." "Yes sir!" "Thank you, son. I wish more were patriotic like you." "Hopefully, I can acquire more firepower for both your
outfit and the local cops, too." He smiled. "Heard about what you done for Deputy Paula's bunch." "I fgured with a baby and a disabled little boy, they needed the firepower."

"Bye." "Take care." He went to the drug store and bought antispectic, disinfectant, paper towels, eye antiseptic drops, ear antiseptic drops and sulfa pills. The last item was to treat both infections within body and infected wounds, too. He took it to the local animal hospital and gave it to them. The vet and nurses there thanked him for the donation. He loaded up on supplies for himself and CHarlie and went home.
