kaiserreich Canada - Keeping UK?

Hi,
I just had a play through Invaded UK unfortunately Germany invade to and that meant in the peace process Germany got southern England. So I thought I try again but go earlier but to my HORROR someone told me if you capture the UK then your forced to play as the UK or Canada? I was hoping to reform the empire as Canada.

Is there anyway around this or any mods(had a look couldn't see any).

No, you're not forced to RELEASE the UK if that's what you're afraid of (As far as I know). That event's just for deciding if you want your country to be considered the UK or Canada by the game now that you own the British Isles, since y'know legitimate government and all.

There is a choice if you liberate the UK to continue playing as Canada, or switch tags to Great Britain. I'm not sure what the events after that are, but I believe you keep the Canadian focus tree so if that;s what you want to 'reform the empire' the by all means do it. You don't become subservient to the UK - I think even George VI stays in Canada.

as mentioned you are meant to either switch to the restored UK or stay as the dominion of Canada. Also this should be in the Kaiserreich sub-Forums.
