Hey sounds like an interesting game so far keep us all updated on this thread. Also it was great to drop in on Cue, K2 and hanbal on the TS server. It definately can quicken you strategy planning, especially once war starts, if anyone needs help with DLing it or such just let me know.

I will think about it, isn't they too powerfull ? I will crash game ballance. But if we are speaking seriously maybe I will start newgame in Saturday, not me exactly, but I will participate. I at least hope so. So I think that I will pass this game. To speak plainly I am not fully aware ho is chief here. It would be great to knew who have internet powerfull enough to be a host, so we could arrange new game.

Well i could probably handle seven players, but it works great with six, and I have never tried seven. But if you are interested show up in Valky and we can work it out I expect.

I don't think we have a chief, its really just a loose system by which we communicate, organize and exchange ideas.

As for country I was thinking Canada, Australia, or even Stalanist Turkey, as I just couped them, and they no longer are hindered by non-agression pacts, and billigerence factors.

But as for other players who are commonly on Valky who are playing 1.3a or Aramageddon who have powerful bandwidth, the ones I know are Mefist (i think) Hiensen and Anders, so its a good idea to keep an eye on what they are doing. On the other hand they are very established players, so usually all the major powers are taken by experienced players.

Important Notice:

Something has come up and it is necessary that I take a break for 3 hours in the middle of Saturday's session.

That said, I can play from 09:30 EST 9 (14:30 GMT) to 13:00 EST (18:00 GMT) and restart the game at 16:00 EST (21:00 GMT) and go to whenever, perhaps Hanibal will be able to persevere into the wee hours of the morning again, say 8:00 EST (01:00 GMT)

GMT conversion from EST based on 5 hour difference.

Please let me know if we can do it this, or arrange something else... postpone and restart next week... I would appreciate it a lot....

I think it looks like we will be starting at 15:30 GMT, which we are calculating as 10:30 am EST. I am saying this just to be clear so we don't end up having a few people waiting in the lounge for an hour, as we did last Saturday. So I suggest we meet at 15:00 GMT 10:00 EST, which I think is even earlier for Anger and hope he gets in early.

So, we will try for 15:00 GMT... I will be there, then.

Don't forget though I have to take a break from 1:00 to 3:30 (possibly 4:00) EST and if everybody agrees we can adjourn and start again, and continue until 8:00 or so if the eurpoeans are ok with that.

War Report

Operation Barbarassa began on May 8th 1941. 210 German Divisions, Backed Bye 58 Aircraft Attacked across the border in Wide swaths. 3 main army groups with elite tank detachments smashed through cueballs lines of defense and crushed the weery defenders.

Meanwhile Italians, pushing from the south up through caucusus, have caputured Baku and Stalingrad.

The attack got off to a great start. Only marginal Resistance was met in the Center and south. 90% of the Wehrmacht tanks were attacked to Army group South, in anticipation of avoiding a massive defense belt from Riga-Smolensk. Ironically, AGN, the weakest of the 3 had the most trouble in reaching its objectives. A determined Soviet counterattack and fierce Communist resistance made for slow going in the north All other fronts exceeded there goals, Breaching the dniepr and capturing kharkov and linking up with out italians brothers.

Roughly 80 Soviet divisions were encircled and Destroyed in Romania, Kharkov, Beguluv, and Persia. Although Herr Anger is confident, he knows much fighting lies ahead.

In the West

UK pigdogs landed in France and made great gains against belegeaured hungarian defenders. KngtigerII must of thought that all german forces were in the east. This was a mistake. High Command set aside 2 (totalling 22 Divisions) Elite Army groups refitting, one in spain and the other in france,Veterans of the Spanish campaign. ready to respond to attacks such as these. The attacks were halted, contained, and then all defenders were slaughtered without mercy on the beaches.

What a great session! See you next Saturday!

The Germans and Italians are lost like camels in the vast Russian steppes. Old Man winter is here. The Geraman are no where near Moscow, or Leningrad, though Stalingrad has temporarily exchanged hands in deft strategic move designed to draw the fascist invaders even further on their way to their doom.

You wish Cueball
Everyone will see that the sleeping giant of this war is not SU, but US. The japanese will have no chance in defending against the superiour power in America.

**** craches all the time in the end. At the other hand I think it was a good session even though I came in at mid 41.
Hope to see you next week if there are an empty seat //Korvmannen

British Intelligence reports:

Heavy Losses to UK army. Lost 9 divisions and HQ in Gibralatar....a fight to the death battle!! NO RETREAT order given. All units lost including the monkeys.......and 120 UK ships barley slip by after several victorious encounters with Vichy & Axis naval/Air units. Nail Biting!!!

Italian invaders took the east half of the suez canal and eliminate at least 7-10 more divisions as they push through the middle east. Alexandria holds on and calais digs in.

Victory reported against Ethiopia..long campaign but when the RAF came down to say hello, all was over for them. Annexed soon after!

The Japanese gobbled up most of SE Asia and pressed hard on India. Again the Uk is put to the test and fights to the death as enemy divisions pour into India. All forts have been overrun and now we fight to the bitter end!!

In Europe a desperate invasion of Cholet France was decided and another 12 + divisons and HQ were commited to help ease the pressure on the Soviet Union. Initial invasion was a success and further penetration was accomplished but soon after that the Axis forces proved too much and they were forced back to the beach. Miscommunications between Naval and ground commanders led to the elimination of another 12+ divisions and HQ.

Reports indicate that UK can hold India. The Uk still has it's massive fleet and airforce. The army has taken a beating but spirits are high. With good support from our allies we shall prevail!!! Announces Churchill.............Let us go forward together!!!! Somebody Frigin Help Me here!!!!!! lolll  Great gaming and it's been real fun so far!!! Thanks!

So where is that lend lease anyway? Or is that the American capitalists are once again playing both sides against the middle in the hope, not of advancing the cause of all peace loving peoples, and genuine aspirations of the international brotherhood of the workers and peasants, but really increasing their war spoils through war profiteering?

History will judge Mr. Roosevelt harshly if that is the case. But in the end the capitalists and their National Socialist lackies will never be able to resist the invetitable historical processes of the dialetic, and socialism will prevail. 80 Divisions is merely a drop in the bucket of the numerous toiling masses who will willingly throw themselves into the line of the battle in the name of peace, and building Soviet power!

Already, the Italian workers duped and coerced by their facist masters, are dreaming of their warm vinyards in the Mediteranean, as the cold snows tingle about their feet.

There is no doubt that Italy is a superior player. Very efffective use of airforce, some 30 retreating divisions wiped out by air attacks alone. Also Mefist devised a clever stratagem for isolating the Crimea. I had always intended to give in the center just not so much in the south.

Part of the issue really devolves to the British loss of the Levant (Palestine region) this meant that Turkey fell rather quicker than I thought it would, as there was no way for the British to reinforce their line and prevent axis transit into the black sea.

Stalanist Turkey would ally with the Allies but not USSR. Strange.

For some reason even when couped to Stalanist, Turkey will not ally with the comintern. This meant my original idea, which was to bring Turkey into the commintern immediatly, was also subverted. Therefore the Axis were able to attack and occupy Turkey in 1940, without having to DOW SU at the same time.

Turkey DOW'ed Italy all on its own.

Even then, I was confident that the line in the caucus mountains would hold against the Italians. I failed to take into account the fact that the GDE drop that impacts the SU at the begining of the war more or less negated my bonus for defending in Mountains in those crucial first weeks, as the Italian start line was right at the foot of the mountains, not the bridge to Anatolia.

Thus the whole strategy was undermined from start to finish.

None of that diminishes the excelent play by the Axis, and their competence at taking advantage of the weakened Soviet position.
