K2 Saturday Game Number II

Last K2 Satruday game with Mefist, St. Anger and Nicophorus as the Axis resulted in a crushing victory over the Allies played by myself, King Tiger 2, and various other players as the USA.

Details of that game and a number of excelent AAR's and game analysis by St. Anger and others can be found here: K2 Saturday Game

This upcoming Saturday game will be a new start, version and scenario to be decided King Tiger 2 will be hosting (I believe). He suggests HOI2DD 1.3a, 36 Historical using Hiensen's rules.

Preference will be given to the main players for the previous game, listed above, but we need to know who is playing and what countires they will be playing, so anyone interested should sign up here...

I will not be playing as I am hosting the K2 Sunday European game.

So far players have picked the following countries:

Germany -- Nicophorus
Italy -- D
Japan -- Mefist

The game is usually scheduled for 15:00 GMT, however, as KT2 has other business to attend to this session is scheduled for 19:00 GMT. It should go back to the earlier time next week.

We were starting at 15:00 hours GMT, but it ran late in euro times, often to at least 24:00 GMT. I don't know what KT2's exact schedule is.

well this coming Ssturday I have a meeting for work so I will not be available until after 19:00GMT. The next Saturday we can go back to normal time which is 1500GMT. Thanks!

What about extending the saturday series to monday night too? Saturday late morning to early evenning, and monday from early evenning to midnight or so? (eastern time).

I know king and I can make this, what about the others interested? Both the single saturday, and the twice a weekday series have both just ended, so thoughts on this as a merge of sorts?

Are there 2 to 4 additional players that could make saturday during the day, and monday during the evenning? (eastern usa time)?

You might consider having a second session on Sunday in consideration of that, and thus expand your player pool.

Yes there is a Sunday game. But there is no reason that there can not be a Saturday/Sunday game. My point is that you are more likely to have a larger pool of players for a two day stretch on the weekend, than you are to have on a Saturday and a Weekday night, since the latter is likely to exclude many Euros.

For instance Mefist, D and Ironman might all have difficulty with a late shift on Monday, but could show for two days on the weekend, and none of those guys are in the Sunday Euro game.

I would like to play SU or UK and I would be up for making it a game we play at least one day during the week as well!

Well i love frantically defending many fronts with dwindling resources. So go ahead and put me down as United Kingdom. Ill leave germany too someone else. Only unless we need a really strong axis player.


Maybe we can get hiensen and mefist in this game. But mefist is so silent. He will probably be on at 2100 tho :rofl:

He is a particularly brutal German player who outclasses me in almost everything except probably strategic planning and super uber Corps organization. When it comes to scraping bottom of the barrel shit together to blunt an attack or win a key battle, I win. I hide disperse my troops like a squirrel hides acorns. They never know what hit em'. As hiensen found out last game


I would love to face him in all out combat and get my ass kicked.

Nico I listed St. Anger as UK because you prioritized Rep Spain. Problem is that you may not be able to play Rep Spain into that especiallly if there are not enough players. Is that a problem for you? Or does this still need to be worked out. If you can't play Rep. Spain, would you want UK, or another country?

Well, that is up to the others playing this game but the tradition is for the person playing US to play France first, for a number of reasons, among them the fact that you go through 3 sessions without war. Its really up to the guys playing, and I would also not recomend USA if you have not played a lot of MP and that you try a less critical nation, like Canada, or Hungary.

I am playing Canada in another MP game and having a riot. It may look like a nothing job, but it has all kinds of potential, for instance you can militarily control a lot of the other allied minors like Australia, and help co-ordinate the defence of Norway and Africa with Free France. So actually I think it is a really underated position.

One of the key elements to Allied success if having a few people doing different things, as there is so much going on for the Allies all over the world.

Maybe you should start out with France and then see what you want to do after Vichy.

Also we should give the other regulars from the last game a chance to sign up before solidifying the line up.
