You guys have the rights for each of your games. Sometimes you sell those rights to somebody else. What do this 2 things actually mean?
Is it that you own the rights to the music, pictures, etc. or just the concept?
How do you know that something you are designing is not already "rights protected" by somebody else?

I'm just curious on what it means exactly...

This probably isn't the place to be asking this. Intellectual property and copyright law is complicated and differs not only from country to country but also from state to state.
